The idea behind this concept is that it starts as a wish fulfillment story after the main character dies. They get one wish, but they get to keep their memories and where they will be reborn. That wish will be to use the force.
Wherever they reincarnate/transmigrate the force won't be there, but due to their wish they have now introduced another cosmic force onto the field. After they get there they realize the consequences of their actions, they have made the force another power of the universe for anyone that can sense it. They also realize a flaw with having it as a power, the force wants you to do things to meet its agenda in return for its power.
The Jedi are always saying about how the force "guides" them, but now they understand that the force is more likely to demand it. The force wants those that it can contact to create a balance no matter what among all of the powers and it will force the main character to act in certain ways against their wishes although it will help them as well.
They also realize that the force is an amalgam of both sides of the force, the dark and light side. They give the same things in return as they did in the star wars universe, but now if they have come to a universe with powers people might be able to use it on top of what they already have as well. (Ex: Magneto can now use the dark side and Professor Xavier can now use the light side on top of their original powers)
