Birthday

Nathan POV

Arriving back at the pack house I quickly exited my car and walked straight in, walking into the kitchen I see Payton and Jamie already cooking party food. "What do you want me to do?." I ask as payton looks at me over her shoulder, "while we are doing this," she gestures towards the food. "Can you ring the DJ please." She says as she bends down to the oven, placing the sausages rolls in to cook. "Sure," I say heading for the living room. Ten minutes later I walk back into the kitchen, "all done what's next." I say leaning against the door frame. "Can you go get the cake." Payton asks as she turns to face me giving her a nod I turn on my heel and head back out to my car.

Getting in the car I head straight for the city. It doesn't take me long to reach my destination as I pull up outside a shop called mommas bakery. Getting out the car I head into the shop, I open the door and walk straight up to the counter. The sales assistant looks up at me and smiles. "Can I help you." She says with a slightly flirty attitude. "Yes, I'm here to pick up a birthday." I begin to say. "It's under the name Payton." I finish giving her a smile. "One moment please." She says as she turns on enters the door behind her. I stand there waiting patiently as I wait for her to return, a few moments later she returns placing a square box on the counter. "How much so I owe you?" I say grabbing my wallet from my pocket. "No need, Payton paid over the phone." She says giving me a small smile. Smiling back I grab the box and exit the shop, heading straight for my car.

It doesn't take me long to get back to the pack house with the cake. I park the car, grabbing the cake as I exit and walk straight into the pack house. As I walk into the house I notice the kitchen is full of booze, there is a fountain in the middle of the side which is full of punch, it's surrounded by multi coloured cups. I walk into the dining room and realise is completely full of food, finding the only available space, I place the cake on the table as I smile. After I have placed the cake on the table I turn and exit the dining room heading for the garden. As I enter the garden I see the DJ set up on the left and twinkling lights set up like a canopy on the right it looks absolutely magical. "What do you think." Payton says as she loops her arm into mine, startling me for a moment. "She will love it my love." I say as I place a kiss on her forehead.

Jamie POV

With my hands around Chloe's eyes we enter the pack house. She laughs as I lead her further into the house. As we reach the garden I remove my hands, "surprise." Everyone shouts with smiles across there faces. Payton walks up to Chloe and pulls her into a tight embrace, "happy 17th birthday my love." She says gently kissing her on her forehead. Chloe pulls away slightly as she looks up at payton confused. "How did you know." She asks causing Payton to laugh. "I'm your mother my love, I just knew." She says giving her a smile, a smile that is filled with so much love. Tears begin to prick Chloe's eyes, "no crying my love." Payton says giving her another little hug, she pulls away slightly, "go enjoy your party." She says turning Chloe around to face her guests, giving her a slight push, Chloe disappears into the crowd as the DJ begins to play music. Payton turns to face me as I wrap my hands around her waist pulling her into me. Taking a sniff of her scent I whisper into her ear, "you should go enjoy to." Turning her around I push her slightly forward as I smack her ass, earning a giggle from her.

Looking around the crowd I search for Nathan finding him instantly. As I walk over to Nathan I greet and thank people for coming to celebrate Chloe's birthday. I finally reach Nathan placing a kiss on his forehead, "enjoying yourself." my love I ask as he begins to nod. As the night begins to fall I turn to Nathan, "shall we do the cake." He nods as he begins to search the crowd for Payton. Instantly spotting her with Chloe we walk towards them, "cake time." I say as I kiss Payton on the forehead, nodding she places her hands on Chloe shoulders spinning her around.

Payton pushes Chloe into the dining room which is already filled with wolves. As we enter the dining room, Chris stands there with Chloe's cake in his hands, with the candle already lit. Smiling at Chloe he says, "make a wish." Taking a deep breath Chloe blows out the candles, everyone begins to clap and cheer. "What did you wish for?" Payton asks her curiously. "If I tell you that it won't come true." She says with a mischievous look on her face causing Payton to giggle.

I wrap my arms around Payton's waist, pulling her right into my chest, "lets dance." I seductively whisper into her ear, nodding she slides her hand into mine and begins to pull me to the dance floor.

The DJ begins to play a slow song causing everyone to either pair up or move away. I look over my shoulder and see Chris asking Chloe to dance, smiling I spin Payton into my chest. Placing one hand on her waist and the other in her hand, I look down at my beautiful mate, "Do you think she has enjoyed herself." I say as Payton rests her head against my chest. She nods not wanting to talk, we begin to sway getting lost in the music together.
