Invasion

Xeo sat with Rissa, who was silent. He had attempted conversation a few dozen times but Rissa brushed him off repeatedly. She was trying to focus and figure out what she was witnessing. There was a chaos swirling through the air, it emanated from Xeo and also from the castle itself. What was most mysterious though was the strongest point seemed to come from within.

Rissa closed her eyes and focused on that, suddenly like a jolt it changed and strengthened. She gasped slightly.

"Have you finally given up this game?" Xeo asked with a raised eyebrow.

"The game of me ignoring you? I would much rather continue." She said coolly, "what is happening in the castle?" She added.

Xeo laughed slightly and shook his head, "you'll get a turn soon enough."

Rissa raised her eyebrows questioningly. "Which means?"

"My father wanted audience with you as well," Xeo said.

"I'd rather not," Rissa answered shortly, "I would like best to wait for Sonnis and leave again."

Xeo grinned slightly which frustrated Rissa to no end. It also worried her slightly.

"You know, actually I think I will be going," she said shortly, "no thank you for the company."

"And where do you think your going?" Xeo said, his lightness was gone, "I think you should stay right here."

"No, I think I will be on my way." Rissa answered.

"You will not," Xeo said, he grabbed her arm. "Besides father wants to see you now, so I suggest you behave."

Rissa glared at him, but seeing little other choice she held her head high and as she as she could slipped out of his grasp to walk on her own.

The castle gave her the impression of somewhere dark and dangerous.

At last they reached the largest room.

"Ladies first," Xeo said.

Rissa ignored him and walked inside. There was a huge dragon watching her as she entered.

"What do you want from me?" Rissa shouted at it.

The dragon chuckled slightly in a rattling way. "Blunt as ever I see. Welcome Rissa, patron of chaos."

"Welcome am I?" Rissa said with a snort, "that's why you had this imbecile be your welcoming committee?" She took a swipe at Xeo.

"I regret your discomfort, I am Craftus. That is my son Xeo."

Rissa noticed as she looked around others. But her eyes landed on Sonnis, and stayed on her. She looked different, no longer did she have a playful sparkle in her eyes, she looked angry, vengeful. There was another girl who glowed in the light, and to Rissa's great surprise Ilodeena and next to her, Amos.

"Allow me to introduce my other children. My daughter Balyn," he motioned with his tail to the girl, Rissa could no longer recognize her. "My son Neron," a boy who stood nearby to Sonnis. "My daughter Ilodeena whom you may already be acquainted with." Ilodeena had shadows on her face, she was near to Amos. "And of course Amos, Sonnis and Epis." The last name surprised Rissa the most.

She hide it well enough. Instead she made her face into a slight grin.

"We will go forth from here and punish the one who banished you so unfairly. In my new order you will have honour that your family refused to give you. Join us Rissa, and you will be rewarded greatly." Craftus told her.

Rissa's mind spun a million times in a minute, when she landed on the answer she knew it was right.

Craftus smiled as Rissa pledged to join them.

"Together, we will be the end to the rein of the traitor Minea and her offspring." Craftus stretched his wings and knew he was strong enough now, "we will begin our invasion now."

Summoning his powers Craftus began to glow brilliantly.

"We need the shrines no longer, for I was the walker between worlds! Come forth and join me."

Gathered around him all his children were transported with him. The very overworld seemed to shudder as the dragon set his first steps upon the grass, causing it to wither and died. Craftus smiled slightly.
