Noah's Arc - Part Six

"Why are you here?"

Robin stood at the door quietly, almost timidly, his eyes shifting around my room with uncertainty. It was the first time I'd seen him so genuinely anxious and unsure of himself.

"Sorry, I-I couldn't wait," he muttered.

"How'd you even get here?"

"I took a cab."

"No, I mean how'd you know where I live?"

He smiled sheepishly. "My car's GPS."

"Wow," I chuckled humorlessly, going to sit on my bed. "Just go home, Robin. Or better yet, go keep talking shit about me with my parents. At least that'll be more fun that being being stuck with a literal black hole of joy and all things positive."

He winced, eyes flashing as he finally seemed to register how red my own probably were. He crossed the room, coming to a stop in front of me.

"Noah... Look at me."

I stubbornly kept my eyes downcast, feeling tears sting at them yet again, but not wanting him to see how much all that shit really affected me.
