Chapter 2- HANGOUT

I work at my mum and dad's restaurant on the outskirts of Seattle, Seattle is mostly cloudy all the time and we have a lot of forest next to us. I'm a waitress and I get paid 100 dollars a week, Emalee the eldest works in the kitchen as the co-chef and gets paid 200 dollars a week, Susan my twin she works in multiple positions and gets paid 100 dollars a week, mum is the chef and the co-manager and finally dad is the manager he's the boss of everyone and he pays everyone.

I was waiting on tables when I noticed the next person that came through our doors was Sabastian, mum asked me "who is that handsome looking boy?" I responded with "yeah he's the new kid in my grade he's 17 years old, works at the library part time, and he has 4 siblings that go to the same school." My mum noticed that I was looking at Sabastian for a long period of time she whispered into my ear "if you like looking at him that much why don't you go serve him?" I knew straight away when she whispered those words into my ear there was no going back, so I sucked it up and went to table 6 where he was sitting and for the first time in my whole life I felt safe and in danger at the same time if that's even possible, "what would you like off of the menu young man?" it took him the longest time to answer me but when he did answered with the weirdest answer… "Hey you're Jade from my English class I sit next to you, Miss A introduced me at the start of class on Friday remember." "Yeah how could I forget, I mean every single girl in the class was looking at you and whispering about you." "They were?" "Yeah they were, it was kinda getting annoying," "would you like to go out on a date?" "Ummm. Why would you go out with me, when you could easily go out any other pretty girl in our English class?" "Because you don't constantly talk about me like the others" a small smirk curved around his lips that sent shivers down my spine. "Ok sure just gotta ask my mum, MUM! Can I go out somewhere with a friend?" MUM- "sure honey just be back in time for dinner."

Sabastian and I are leaving the restaurant, leaving my mum looking puzzled but also smiling from ear to ear. Sabastian takes me down to the parking lot which has one of the slots occupied with a black as night, spacious, shiny and intimidating R8 "I wonder whose car this is?" "Yeah it's a beauty, it's mine." Sabastian says that with an amused expression on his face. "Ok let's just go before I slap you across that cheeky face of yours!" I can't hold in my laughter. He opens the passenger door for me, he starts the engine and turns the CD player on, and my favorite song comes on {Cradles.} "So you like this song then?" "I more than like it, it's my favorite song." We're still driving, where are we going? I think while anxious.

A couple of minutes later we arrive at the edge of town which it has a lot of trees, as if distracting me from my thoughts Sabastian hands out his hand and asks me "Do you trust me?" I answer truthfully and say "yes." As we leave the comfort of the car we walk further into the woods, deeper and deeper we go until we come to a lake, we sit down and Sabastian looks up at me and says "this is where I go to get away from everyone, to clear my thoughts when I'm angry, I've never showed this to anyone you're my first." Happiness fills his voice when he says those last 9 words and I feel happy and special "not even your family?" I look deep into Sabastian's eyes "ummm… no, I don't really talk about my family." My heart stops dead in its tracks and suddenly I feel this overwhelming guilt in me but I don't understand I didn't do anything.

Sabastian is looking off into the distance the water looks so beautiful under the sun setting. Shit mum, "uhhhh Sabastian" "yes Jade." "What time is it?" I say with a distressed sound in my tone, "its 6:30pm, what's wrong Jade?" He sounds worried, distressed for me. "I gotta go, I'm going to be in deep trouble with my mum, thank you for today I loved it!" "You're going to run there?" Sabastian says with amusement in his eyes. "Yeah I think I will" I can't help but laugh "come I'll take you home."

When I walk through the doors to the restaurant/house and I see a fearful sight mum angrily staring at me I look up at the clock, Jesus It's 9:00 where did the time go. "JADE DECEMBER STEELE, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!" Shivers run through my body from this usually calm collected lady that is my mum. "sorry mum I was out with Sabastian Cunning this afternoon, a boy from my English class at school" all of a sudden my mums face expression changes from angry to smiling in a nanosecond, she asks MUM- "does my girl finally have a boyfriend?" she says with amusement, I roll my eyes at her MUM- "that's not a no then" " I gotta go to bed it's close to my bedtime, I'll see you in the morning ready for my shift at 8:00 am" and like that I am out of that room as quick as I can and I basically run up the stairs to my bedroom, I slam my door shut behind me and fall onto my bed with a huge sigh of relief that night I drift off into a wonderful carming sleep.
