Chapter 11 ~Forgiving It All~

**How can I give up at this moment ?

When I've found something to push me forward.....** ~Favour~

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The day was a beautiful one, no, not because of the cool breeze blowing past, whistling quietly into her ears, promising yet another beautiful day like that day, to Ariana, Perry's apology and confessions made the day more beautiful, she couldn't keep the smile off her face, how he told her he couldn't live without her, how could she stay angry at him? She also couldn't live without him, she pulled grass out of the ground, she sprinkled them around her, the breeze took away the lighter ones away, making them fly away, it was a Saturday, Ariana decided to sit in the park, filled with green wet grass and benches. Her legs were crossed in front of her as she played with the grass, a smile plastered on her face, she didn't notice Perry as he walked towards her nor when he sat quietly by her, she only jerked her head up when she heard his mesmerizing voice.

"The day is beautiful" He commented without looking at her, he watched as kids played noisily and happily without a care in the world.

"What are you doing here?" Her voice came out much softer, turning to face her, he spoke up frowning.

"Don't tell me you are still angry at me"

"I'm not.. I just wasn't expecting you here" She answered, scooting closer to him.

"Why did you apologize, I mean, why did you say we should get back together when you know what your parents would do?" She asked the question that had been on her mind since they got back together.

"How can I give up at this moment, when I've found something to push me forward?" He asked looking at her.

"I'm not giving up, I love you, You make me happy, so why should I give up on my happiness

I don't care about what my parents say, besides they can't send me abroad anymore, to them we are not together anymore, because we are keeping this secret." He said holding her hands, he dropped her hands quickly as if noticing something or someone, Ariana's heart dropped.

"It's best for both of us Aria, we must not be seen together, being intimate. I'll meet you in your apartment when no one is watching" He said getting up, with a last longing look, he left without looking back. Ariana pulled the grass out of the ground, dusting off wet soil around the chunk of grass she had pulled out, her lips were in a thin line as she fought the urge to cry.....

The teachers had stopped going to class to teach, they only went when they had an announcement to make to the students.

The class quieted down as their class teacher entered, he hit his cane on a desk as he stood in front of the class, the class watched unperturbed by his acts, they were used to it, besides no teacher would punish them when they had less than two weeks to finally complete their junior level, no one could keep their excitement, even the headmaster kept on blabbing about their graduation party and how grand it was going to be. Mr Antwi accessed his students quietly, he cleared his throat as he begun speaking to them.

"For the past three months, I've been your English Language teacher....." He begun pacing slowly through the class both hands behind him, his cane hit desks as he slight swung it, the students knew he wouldn't be leaving anytime soon, they knew it was going to be a long session.

"..... I might say, you students were a handful, some of you even played pranks on me on your first week in Jhs3" Most students snickered at his words, Ariana smiled as she remembered the mortified look on Mr Antwi's when he realised he had sat on a chewed wet gum, that day, students laughed hard as they watched Mr Antwi and his gum stained trouser.

The teacher continued as he paced slowly through the class, as they had assumed the meeting went on for an hour, it was more like he was advising his students, and some students kept the advice, some also totally forgot about the advice as soon as the teacher left the class.

Jessica sat with Ariana as they read their books, the noise was too much but they still decided to stay in class, Ariana beamed when she remembered something.

"oh I totally forgot, Ida is coming today!" She sat up forgetting about the book in front of her.

"Who is Ida, that's a weird name though" Jessica asked looking up from her book.

"My cousin, I never told you about her did I?" Ariana asked having all of Jessica's attention, they had grown close over the past few weeks.

"No. never, tell me" Jessica said.

"Ida is my cousin, she just completed senior high, she's coming today and I'm happy" she said

"Hmmmm... I'll be coming over to your place much often after we complete" Jessica beamed at her friend as she thought of all the fun they could have together....

Ariana didn't wait to take her shoes off, she rushed into her room beaming, she jumped on her bed as she hugged Ida tightly pressing her more into the bed, Ida gasped loudly when she was released, she sat straighter in the bed looking at her cousin amusedly.

"God! Are you made of steel?" She asked her cousin, who beamed at her.

"I miss you so much, that's why" Ariana said, she got up as she begun undressing.

"When did you come?" She asked Ida, who was playing with a teddy bear.

"Around two in the afternoon" Ida answered

"How was school and how is Perry" she asked wiggling her brows.

"School was normal and Perry I don't know, ask him when you see him" She said chuckling, she knew Ida wanted her to narrate everything that happened during her absence, but she wasn't going to tell her, all she wanted was to sleep, in less than two days her own exams would begin and she needed rest, she had heard some students mostly went to the exams room forgetting everything because they lacked rest, that was the last the thing she wanted.

It took some time before she slept, she was thinking about him, she knew he was not okay and she worried.
