Part Ten: The Ball?

Jaz found a few dresses that Sky would look beautiful in. Sky couldn't find a dress that she liked. So, she walked over to Jaz to see if she found any dresses for her.

"Have you found any dresses that I would wear to the ball, Jaz?" Sky asked as she got to Jaz.

"I've found a few, but I don't know if you'd wear them to the ball," Jaz replied.

"Ok," Sky said as she looked at Jaz, "should I try them on to see if I like one of them?"

Jaz face palmed as she shook her head and said, "Sky, you should try them on to see if they fit and if you like the style of the dress."

"Right. Sorry, it's been a while since I've actually been dress shopping for a ball or party," she said.

"It's fine. Let's go and get you a dressing room so you can try them on," Jaz said as she goes and asks a worker if she could get a dressing room for Sky.

Sky stays put and waits. As she waits, she zones out for a few seconds.

A few seconds later, Jaz comes back to Sky and tells her that she got a dressing room for her. Sky zoned back in at the right moment to hear what Jaz said. Jaz showed Sky to her dressing room.

They get to the dressing room and Sky goes to try the dresses on.

The first dress she tried on was a ball gown which was a dark blue color. She walks out to show Jaz.

"Jaz?" she asked as she walked out.

Jaz turned around from looking at a dress for herself and looked at Sky. "That dress doesn't seem like you at all, but that's my opinion of it," she said.

"It's not. I think its the color," Sky said.

"Yeah, dark blue isn't your color."

"I'm going to try on the other dresses to see if any of them fit me and my personality," she said as she turns around and walks back into the dressing room.

Sky walks in and tries on another dress. The second dress that she's trying on is a high low dress which was an emerald green color. She walks out and shows Jaz.

Jaz looks at her with a disgusted look on her face.

"Yeah, this one looks terrible on me," Sky said.

"Yeah, go and try on the other dresses."

"I will. I hope to the king that I don't have to wear to another emerald green dress," she said as she walked back into the dressing room.

She gets out of the dress and tries on another dress. The dress she's trying is an off the shoulder dress which is a purpley lacey dress. She walks out and shows Jaz.

"That works, but I think you'd get cold later tonight," she said.

"True," Sky said, "I could get it just in case there was ever another party or ball."

"Yeah. Now, go and try on the last dress!"

"Ok. Ok. I'm going," Sky said as she walked back into the dressing room and changed into the last dress.

She walked out.

Jaz looked at her and said, "W-Wow. You look beautiful in that dress, Sky."

"I-I d-do? I mean it matches me and my personality," Sky said.

"You do," Jaz said, "you should get it and wear it."

"Ok. I was thinking about getting it as well since ya know."

Jaz nodded, "Ok. Well, go and get your clothes on. I'll go and pay for your dresses."

"Ok. Wait. You don't have to pay for my dresses. I can get them," Sky said.

"I know, but as your older sister, I'll pay for them," Jaz said.

"But-" Sky said as Jaz shoved her in the dressing room.

"No buts. Change back while I pay," she said as she walked over to the counter to pay for the dresses.

"Fine," Sky said as she changed into her clothes that she was wearing. She grabs the two dresses that she's getting and walks out.

Jaz paid for the dresses and was waiting for her. "Hurry up, Sky," she said.

"I'm literally to you. What are you talking about?" Sky asked as she got Jaz.

"Sky, we need to figure out what you should do with your hair," Jaz said as she walked out.

Sky followed, "I can figure that out a few hours before I'm going to get ready."

"Sky, I'm your older sister and I've done your hair for a long time. I know what we should do with your hair."

"H-How do you know already what to do with my hair?"

"Because I do and just thought of it."

"Of course you did," Sky said as she started walking.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing. Anyway, how are you and your lover?"

Jaz lets out a nervous laugh.

Sky stops and looks back at her and asked, "what's wrong? What happened? Do I need to murder them?"

"N-No!! We're having a fight about something that happened a while back," Jaz said as she mumbled something else underneath her breathe.

"A fight? Is this your first fight or has there been more?" Sky asked as she went up to Jaz and grabbed Jaz's shoulders.

"W-Well...." Jaz said as tears were forming in her eyes.

"Sis? So, there been more fights, hasn't there?" She asked as she hugged her.

All Jaz could really do was nod and start crying.

"Sis, fighting isn't really good in a relationship. I mean a few fights are kinda good," Sky said as she hugged her tighter.

Jaz hugged her back, crying still.

"Hey, if I need to kill them, I will. Just say their name and that I can," Sky said.

"You don't need to kill them. You, also, don't need to hurt them either," Jaz said as she let go of Sky and wiped her tears off her face, "anyway, we should probably get you back to Aunt Rie's house so you can clean up and get ready since it's past mid-day."

"Yeah. Let's go. Aunt Rie is going to be happy to see you," Sky said as she grabbed Jaz's hand and started walking to Aunt Rie's house.

A while later after they got to the house and they got ready for the ball.

"I really hope that Eric won't try anything tonight..." Sky said.

"I'm sure he won't try anything especially at a ball that the king is hosting. But he cou-" Jaz said as she got interrupted by a knock at the door.
