Friend or Foe?

The scenery changed drastically, the sky was scarlet, and the sun ... the two suns were more like small stars compared to the one I had lived under my entire life.

This was definitely not Earth, I wasn't sure whether I had traveled in space, time, or in an entirely different dimension, and so I began exploring my surroundings

At that moment, a strange energy began flowing through my veins, my mind felt lighter, all my previous exhaustion vanished and a message appeared before me.

-It is probably something like mana

Mana or Ki one could refer to it, is a very popular term used in games in order to cast magic spells

-Nice

Amazed with the possibility of using magic, I immediately shouted "FIREBALL !!"

-.... fuck

Apparently chanting isn't related to my newly developed stat.

While I was confused as to what was my purpose here, I put priority in understanding the concept of magi.

I began experimenting with moving the energy through my body trying to redirect it to my fist, I realized shortly afterward that it was easier said than done.

The energy was leaking to the environment and thus only a small part stayed in my body

After a couple of minutes of continuous effort, I was exhausted, my mind felt dizzy and as I was about to lose consciousness I glimpsed at the message in front of me.

[Meanwhile in a nearby rift entrance]

Julius Armstrong was busy hunting a small group of goblins, using only his fists and the momentum of his gigantic muscular body to break the bones of his opponents each time he struck them

Being one of the world's strongest men was nothing of importance to Julius who had lost his desire to live after reaching the pinnacle of human strength ...

Upon entering the rift he was overwhelmed by the ecstasy of fighting his opponents to the death and the possibility of breaking the limits of the human body.

After the battle ended, he looked at the numerous messages in front of him

"Hm it appears there are other people here", he pondered on whether he should engage in combat with them but quickly dismissed the thought ... since he doubted he would meet anyone strong enough to face him.

"Better start the slaughtering then...", he said to himself while brushing his huge beard covering the entirety of his neck followed by his extremely dense chest hair.

In the view of a distant observer, he had a closer resemblance to a brown bear than a human.
