Seraphine's Health (2)

I was away from the headquarters that my knights and I were residing since I still need to complete investigations of the wanted Baron Esmael.

"What did you find?" I asked the Knight with psychometry checking the area.

"Child trafficking has occurred here your highness and what's more" a hidden room leading down appeared he opened it by lifting a vase

"Let's go" I let my eyes glow to see in the dark we went down and a dungeon could be seen "I cannot believe that this is still occurring" I clench my jaw in irritation

What we see before us are children trapped in cages,

They all looked malnourished, weak, and frightened,

"The bastard left these children here to rot. Release them and take them to headquarters"

"Yes, your highness" The knights went to work releasing the children inside the cages they all cried in relief.

"Haa" I'm piled up with work and I can't stop thinking about my sister.

It's already been three days since she arrived here.

She hasn't awakened yet and it makes me anxious, thankfully, the doctor managed to let her fever subside and heal the bruises on her face.

"T-Thank you Sire" I looked down at a child who approached me

"Children your age should have fun in the sun free not trapped in here" I knelt at the child's eye level the child hugged me and I hugged back comforting her when she released her hug on me I stood up again "the knights will lead you to safety stay close to them" I announced.

We returned to HQ and I ordered the maids to accommodate the children and handle them with the utmost care. They replied promptly and went to work.

"Welcome Back! Crowned Prince"

"Doctor Edgar! How is my sister?" I quickly asked.

"She's still asleep I'm returning now to see her condition"

"Where did you even go?"

"I went outside to eat, your highness since her fever disappeared already she is now recovering, we just need to patiently wait for her to wake up"

"May I see her?"

"Of course"

The two went upstairs and were about to head to the crowned prince's room when they paused in the living room.

"W-Where am I?"

"...Seraphine"

I quickly rushed towards her, but she stepped back in confusion and fear evident in her eyes.

"Who the hell are you, people?!" She shouted.

"Seraphine it's me, Lucianus your brother" I calmly said

"Brother?" She scoffed "I don't remember having a brother" she dismisses what I said, "you better tell me where I am already or else I'm going to scream for help!"

"But Seraphine it's the truth-"

"Her royal highness must come with us to the Sun Palace"

The commander of the Imperial Palace suddenly stepped inside with a serious expression on both of their faces.

"She is NOT going anywhere!"

"Our orders are with the Emperor crowned prince like it or not she will come with us"

While they were having a heated discussion,

Seraphine took the chance to flee and exit the room unnoticed except for Doctor Edgar who already followed her.

"Then before you can take her you have to go through me!" I shouted my hand on the hilt of my sword.

"Wait" the second commander Alfonso interrupted "where is her highness?"

"If you're trying to distract me-" he points behind me

I turned around and realized that Seraphine was gone,

I immediately ran and exited the building shouting her name,

I searched the entire town worried that she could be kidnapped or immediately killed. I even went to such lengths to go to the Oasis again,

"Seraphine!" I shouted my voice echoing through the Oasis.

I scoured the area until nightfall. I was crestfallen when I couldn't find her. I went back to the HQ. My mind running 200 miles per hour my anxiousness worsened.

"Your highness welcome back" The doctor greeted

"I couldn't find my sister" my voice shook

"Her highness is asleep"

"Wha?" I immediately slammed the door open to my room. She is asleep on my bed!

"Jesus, Seraphine" I blinked my tears away sitting beside her "you don't know how scared I was thinking that you got kidnapped"

"I'll leave you alone then" The doctor left giving us privacy

"You may not remember me, but I am your brother," I told her

"..." Her eyes slowly opened, she blinked a few times before she sat up shaking her head.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"What the hell did that man do to me?" She said, her brows were creasing.

"He put you to sleep for you to calm down"

"You're that guy earlier," She tells me

"I'm your brother Lucianus Stephen Kleon Armaclei I'm sorry for scaring you earlier"

"Alright if you are my brother tell me the things that I don't know about me but I unknowingly do," She says still having doubt

"You bite your lip unknowingly when your nervous, you usually curl yourself up when sleeping hugging the stuffed bear I gifted you at a theme park once, you named it Mr. Cuddles" She looked at me wide-eyed

"I don't remember naming the bear Mr. Cuddles, but I am somewhat attached to that worn-out bear for some reason"

"I got transported in this world when you, Mother and Forsythia got attacked by house Barnes, I saved you from being pulled here"

"House Barnes..." She then realized something.

"A man came to my house and tortured Forsythia a-and then" her voice shook "Oh God...I killed people!" she trembled in fear "what did I do?" tears were threatening to fall.

"Calm down," I told her

She explained to me what happened and I comforted her soothing her back I reassured her that I won't let anything or anyone harm her.

"It'll be fine, your brother is here I'll protect you"

"But can you protect me from myself?! I'm a monster!" She sobbed "I killed people with this abnormality!"

"It's not an abnormality its normal for you to have powers"

"You're saying that this is normal?!"

I demonstrated my powers to her she looked on sniffling when I finished, her sobbing toned down

"See? You're just special" I placed a hand on her head "with a bit of practising you can control it too"

"What are these powers?"

"...I'll explain it to you after we eat, how does that sound?" I asked.

"...Okay" she nods I gave a small reassuring smile at her

"I'll bring our meal here then so that you can relax"
