-Core Palace: Drawing Room-
Prince Kristopherson along with the other royalties are having tea inside of the Drawing Room, they were all talking about the problems of each Kingdoms and Queendoms.
"We are thankful for the invention of the Plant House, but that is still not enough for the whole continent to have food" King Kristopherson points out.
"Besides the plant house, there is also the importation of fish at the Star Queendom" the Queen of the Terra Queendom replies
"Our fishermen are risking their lives fishing to import it and distribute it to everyone in the Empire, but the lightning keeps getting worse and worse in our Queendom that is why importation of fish is becoming slow." The Queen of the Star Queendom says.
"We need the Holder of the Prophecy to remedy all these problems in this Empire..."
"As quickly as possible, is what the next words are, if I am correct," the Terra Queen says to the Star Queen.
"You both are not wrong but, I do not think that she should also rush solving all of our problems"
"Defending the fiancé this early on, King Kristopherson?"
"No, I am not defending her, I am simply pointing out that she is just human after all, a human can only do so much"
The two Queens looked at each other and burst out laughing, King Kristopherson looked at the two Queens shrugging.
"We apologise for laughing at you King Kristopherson, but we cannot help but think of how sweet of you defending your fiancé"
"I-I wasn't!" King Kristopherson protested.
"Yes you were, do not deny it, both of us are impressed that even though you haven't met yet, you are capable of already defending her."
Kristopherson couldn't help but give a look at the two Queen's.
"We do not have any ill will of our demeanour King of the Sky Kingdom, but we do apologise again."
"It is fine." Kristopherson stood up from the sofa chair he was sitting "please excuse me I need a bit of exercise in the garden"
"Of course." Both of the Queen's nod at the King.
-Rosé Garden-
Kristopherson took his jacket off, his vest and his dress shirt, leaving his upper body bare, he then drew his sword out of the scabbard from his hip.
"King Kristopherson"
"What is it?"
"I seem to notice that you always peer outside the Rosé Garden at this time, or wander around here for no apparent reason."
"I'm going to practice my sword Luke, are you implying something else in your words?"
"Yes"
Kristopherson began to practice his sword, ignoring what Luke said, but then Luke suddenly summoned Illusions for him to defeat.
"It's pointless if you fight thin air, my King"
Kristopherson dodges an illusion and slashes it with his sword, the illusion of an enemy fades, but then an enemy behind him creeps upon him, he immediately blocks the incoming attack.
"Good reflexes"
Luke summons a rain of arrows towards the King.
"Whoa!" King Kristopherson shouts in surprise "Venturus!" A powerful gust of wind blew away the illusionary arrows.
"Hm, intuitive" Luke nods.
The King continued fighting the illusion until he defeated all of them, he pants sitting on the garden chair.
"Do you want me to call a maid, and bring you refreshments and towels?"
"Yes, thank you, my cousin"
Luke walked off to call a maid, Kristopherson pants looking at the sky easing his tense posture.
"Seraphine…"
He breathlessly mutters when he finally regained his breath, he chuckles, his sharp fangs exposing itself.
"It is very funny how I am looking forward to meeting you now, I didn't even get a glimpse of you because Luke blocked your figure."
He shakes his head pushing his platinum blond hair back, sweat was dripping from his forehead, his upper body was no exception.
"But maybe that was for the best."
"Talking to yourself again, my King?"
Luke returned with three maids, one holding a jug of cold water, the next holding a stack of towels, the third maid carries clean dress shirts.
When the maids saw the King's shirtless figure, and stern expression, all of their faces became crimson red, they also became anxious.
"Still the charmer I see…"
Kristopherson stood up, took a towel from the maid who was visibly shaking out of nervousness, because of the King's, alluring appearance.
"Thank you."
Kristopherson pats the towel on his face and rests the towel on his neck, he then takes a glass of cold water from the maid holding the jug.
"You were thinking about her highness weren't you?"
"...No?" Kristopherson tilts his head with an innocent expression
"You muttered 'But maybe that was for the best' I heard you, my King"
"Why are you always eavesdropping when I have a conversation with myself?"
"Because I am looking out for you."
"I can handle myself, Luke, having a conversation with oneself is normal."
"It is, but maybe you do not need to have conversations with yourself when you finally get married, you can talk to her highness about anything in your mind."
"This is interesting Luke," Kristopherson smirked. "You talked to her yesterday, didn't you?"
"I needed to know what kind of human she is, there is no problem with her highness, I can assure you, she is mild natured and easy to talk with."
"Do you approve of her?"
"Yes."
"Luke Alberone, the strict and uptight Chancellor of the Sky Kingdom approving of a woman for the King, this is big news."
"Please stop jesting."
"The noble's daughters couldn't even meet me, without going through you, but her highness Seraphine got your approval almost instantly, do you by any chance like her?"
"No, I just assessed her if she is capable of being a Queen, she needs refining but overall she passes."
"That's good, hearing your approval makes me want to see her more"
"Please be mindful of your possessiveness as well, my King"
"I will"
"You have not courted nor had any relationship with any female even when we were young, but you have possessive tendencies at objects, her highness is not an object, she is a person."
"Stop with the lectures already"
"I am just reminding you this"
"Yes, but you will stop me if I get too excited because of her, right?"
"That is why I am here"
"I can rely on you anytime, that is why I am thankful" Luke nods.
Kristopherson throws the towel on the chair and urges the Chancellor to make more illusions for training in which Luke complies.
Kristopherson trains until sunsets, he finally stops when he is satisfied with his training, Kristopherson's whole body is drenched in sweat, the maids on standby are swooning non-stop at the King.
"It looks like she's not going to pass-by here"
"It looks like my speculations were correct you were waiting for her highness to take a walk in the Royal Garden again"
"You caught me"
"You do know that you cannot meet yet am I right?"
"Yes…"
"King Kristopherson!" Luke firmly says, Kristopherson shrugs.
"I won't break the rules, Luke, you have my word"
Luke narrows his eyes at the King, Kristopherson just smiled at him, the maids gave tiny shrieks.
"Let's head inside already"
Kristopherson, takes a clean dress shirt from one of the maids, buttons it up, he then puts on the vest and then his jacket, the maids bow to him.
-Core Palace: Guest Room-
Both of them entered the assigned room of Kristopherson, the King, went behind his desk and sat on the chair.
"You have work to do, my King"
"Can't I have a break Luke?"
"You had your break in the garden"
"That was training…"
"Work"
Kristopherson shook his head and began reading the documents on the table, he signed paperwork, but then he became distracted when he heard horses outside.
"Hm?"
"That must be the daughters of the Terra and Star Queendoms, Queen's"
"They just arrived now?"
"Yes, their mothers approved of them coming here in the Capital of the Empire so that they are introduced to the soon crowned princess"
"I see…"
"They are your childhood friends as well are they not?"
"After fighting off the two Empires, one actually, the other one didn't do anything, peace talks happened and Emperor Cailum urged me and the other crowned princess in their Queendoms to study at the Capital, you can say that they are somewhat childhood friends to me"
"You could've just uttered out 'yes'"
"I also overanalyse things, but yes, they are"
"You won't greet them?"
"You're making me work right?"
"I will greet them in your stead then"
Luke exits the King's room while he continues working, by midnight he finishes the paperwork on his desk and Luke enters the room again.
"You were gone for a long time"
"All of them were talking non-stop, I felt very left out in their conversation"
King Kristopherson laughs, Luke glared at him.
"You knew that was going to happen didn't you?!"
"Maybe?"
"You are cruel, my King"
"That wasn't cruelty, you wanted to greet them, and it was right to do so, that is why I did not stop you" Luke sighs "why don't you get to bed Luke"
"Did you finish your work?"
"As you can see"
"Alright, good night, my King"
Kristopherson nods, after Luke left, Kristopherson piles and assembles the paper tucking it inside the drawer then locking it.
"..." He looks outside "I don't have the urge to sleep yet…" he then thought of Seraphine again "I can't seem to stop thinking about you" he smirks.
He stands up from where he was sitting and looks at the window, he then opens the window the night breeze caressing his skin.
"I want to see you, even just a glimpse…"
Kristopherson whispers, he then jumps out of the window, leaving it wide open the night breeze entering the room.
