Chapter 9

It's currently 4 pm. I have fed Bella , played with her and now I'm putting her down for a nap. I am singing a lullaby that mom used to sing to me when I was little, before my parents lives became so hectic and they no longer had time for me.

I slowly felt Bella become heavier and her breath became more steady. 'She is asleep' I think to myself. I kiss her head then put her in her down in her crib. I slowly walk out of her room and go downstairs to the living room.

I am scrolling through my phone when suddenly I hear my stomach grumbling . It makes sense that I'm hungry, I didn't have any lunch. I know that the Alexa and Alec said that I can eat anything from the fridge or order take in but I don't want to invade their privacy. I pick up my bag and look through it for something edible. All I found was a granola bar . I sigh and open it up then start eating it.

I finished the granola bar quickly, but I'm still hungry. I shake my head and see if I have any homework to do. I have math , physics and history. This is at least a 2 hour worth of homework . I quickly start on physics since it is the hardest out of the lot.

Time Skip

Currently it is 7pm. I am waiting for Alec to come. Bella is sitting in my lap and I'm playing with her, she is an adorable baby.

I hear the door open so I pick Bella up and go to see if it is Alec. I reach the entrance and behold it is Alec. Once he notices us a smile appears on his face and he walk towards me. " How is my Bella." Alec says in a baby voice as he takes her from me. He starts tickling her and Bella starts giggling . "Thank you for babysitting. I hope Bella wasn't a nuisance ." Alec asked me with smile. " No she is a sweetheart." I said. " Well I should leave now , but I just need to get my bag." I tell Alec. He nods and goes to the living room and I follow him. He sets Bella in her playpen and goes to the kitchen . I start packing my stuff up and before I I close my bag Alec comes in with a confused look . " Did you eat anything from the fridge? I noticed there is nothing missing. " He asks . I shake my head ," Well, did you order take out ?" He asks again. " No I didn't get hungry" I lie. " You have been here since 9 in the morning and it's now 7 . It's impossible you're not hungry." Alec say with a shocked look on his face. I shrug , Alec shakes his head" No no no , this is not how I work, you can't leave the house while hungry. I'm going to order pizza" Alec says then goes to get his phone.

" No that's not necessary . I''l just go home and eat there" I try deny his offer. Alec shakes his head " No that is not happening . Also I'm also hungry and I hate eating alone . It is not like Bella can eat with me . " He says dialing the phone number. I try to object but he before I could say anything he says with a smirk " I'm not asking " then he leaves the room. I sigh and put my stuff down then pick Bella up.

" I ordered one cheese pizza and one chicken barbecue pizza. Hope you like them " Alec says then sits beside me. "You didn't need to do that , you know?" I tell him . Bella reaches out for Alec so he takes her and puts her on his lap. " I know, I wanted to do. What kind of brother would I be if I let my sister's babysitter leave our home hungry." Alec said . I look at him with my eyebrows raised and he just shrugs and plays with Bella.

We hear the door bell ring so we both get up and walk to the door. Alec looks at me with a confused look " What are you doing?" He asks me." Getting the pizza?" I say but it came out as a question. " No you're a guest in this house so I'm going to get the pizza and pay " he says . Before I can protest he hands me Bella and goes to the door .

Alec sets the pizza on the table and goes to the kitchen to get plates . He comes in and sits beside me . He hands a plate then says" Let me take Bella from you so you can eat." " No it's okay" I say . He tries to protest but he shuts up after he saw the look I gave him .

"So how are you liking the school?" Alec asks me before taking a bite from his pizza. " It's a good school. I do miss my friends from my old school but I have made friends here." I say after taking a bite from the pizza. Alec nods and continues eating . I notice Bella dozing of so I get up to take her to her nursery. " Hey where are you going ?" Alec asks me and gets up ," Bella is dozing of I'm gonna put her in her crib" I say as I go towards the stairs. Alec nods and walks with me to Bella's nursery .

I put Bella in her crib after kissing her forehead . I turned around and I bumped into Alec. "I'm sorry " I apologised to him . "It's okay" he says. I look at him and then I notice how close we are. Alec stares into my eyes and he brings his face closer to mine. He is about to kiss me but then I hear my phone ring from downstairs . We part ways awkwardly and I go downstairs to answer my phone.

I see that it is my aunt so I quickly answer . " Hey auntie" I say. " Hey sweetheart , are you home ?" she asks me. " I'm leaving right now" I tell her. " Okay , I just want to remind you that I won't be here tonight, okay?" Auntie reminds me. " Yeah okay" I say. " Okay gotta go bye" she says and hungs the phone up before I could reply. "You're leaving" I hear Alec ask from behind me. I turn around and nodded. " Let me take you" he offers. " You can't leave Bella alone" I say then pick up my bag . "Right" he says then a look appeared on his face as if he remembered something ." Wait here for a sec" he says then runs up the stairs. I wait for a second then he came with a letter. "Here is the money for babysitting Bella" he says . " Oh thank you" I say after he handed me the money . " Well I should leave." I say and he nodded. " See you on Monday?" Alec asks me as I walked out the door."See you on Monday" I confirm then I start walking home.

I reach my room and take the money and take out my wallets . I have to wallets , one fro savings and one for spending. I put most of the money in the savings wallet and put 50 dollars in the spending one. After I did that I put away the wallets then changed into pyjama's . I laid in my bed and went to sleep with a smile.
