Chapter 15

Alec held my hand tight and led me through the door . We pushed past a bunch of dancing teenagers until we made to the a corner . Alec held my hand for a bit more then let it go.

"I'm gonna go get us something to drink , wait here." Alec said then disappeared into the crowd. I stood there for a bit before I saw Asher come towards me . "Girl you look hot1" Asher exclaimed. I raised my eyebrows at him , "Asher, are you drunk?" I asked him. Asher shook his head ," Nope, I'm just saying the truth. Besides if I want to get drunk I wouldn't drink this cheap alcohol ." he said as if what he is saying is so obvious.

"That's good to know." I say, "Do you know where Caden, Adam and Ari are?" I asked Asher . "I saw Caden and Adam when I first got here , but we separated. As fro Ari I saw her come in but she disappeared." Asher said. I nodded my head.

Asher looked around for a bit then faced me with a confused look,"Where is lover boy?" he asked me. "Alec , you mean? He went to get us something to drink." I said ignoring what he called Alec. Asher nodded his head . "Asher why are you standing here . Go enjoy the party." I said with my eyebrows raised.

Asher shook head, "No this place is filled with creeps, I can't leave you alone." I gave him ' are you serious look'. "Asher go I don't need your protection. Go shoo." I said and pushed him away from me.

"Are you sure?" he asked. I nodded my head and made shoo gesture with my hands ."Okayyyyy whatever you say. " he said and left me alone.

I waited for a bit more and Alec still didn't come .'Why didn't he come yet?" I thought to myself. I stood there for a bit more when a man that looked drunk came to me.

"Hey honey , why are you standing here all alone?" the man slurred his words. He tried to put his hands on me but I pushed him away. "I'm not interested . My date is getting drinks." I say in disgust while pushing his hands away.

"Come on baby , you don't need to wait for him. You can have meeee." he said again while trying to remove my jacket. I slowly felt my anger growing but I held it in. "Please leave me alone. I'm not interested ." I said again , "Come on little bitch , you want me. I know you do." he said with anger. By now I'm beyond angry so I punched right in his face.

I heard his nose break and I smiled in satisfaction. The man held his node in pain, he glared at me then went to attack me but I kicked him in the groin . He yelled in pain and that's when people noticed us.

The room suddenly became quiet , "you little bitch." the man yelled and tried to slap me but a hand held hisز

It was Alec's hand . I looked at Alec and he was angry, no he was beyond angry. "Let go man." the drunk man said and tried to pull his hand from Alec. But Alec just held stronger, he pulled the man to him and punched him , the man yelled in pain, "you're her date?! " the man exclaimed, Alec just ignored him and punched him again.

The drunk man tried to fight Alec but Alec didn't give him a chance to hit him. He just punched the man again and again. I noticed that the man had passed out, but Alec just kept hitting him.

"Alec stop!" I told Alec , but he ignored me . I said it again this time louder but he ignored me, I finally had enough and yelled "ALEC STOP!" This time he stopped and looked at me , I took his hand and pulled him. He tried to resist but I glared at him and pulled his hand harder . Alec gave up and just let me take him with me.

I took Alec outside to the backyard. It was huge and it had a pool. I let go of his hand , I took of my shoes and dipped my legs in the water.

I looked at Alec and he was just standing there. I raised my eyebrows at him and gestured with my hands to the same as I did. Alec sighed and took of his shoes and sat next to me.

We sat there for a bit before Alec started talking , "That bastard tried to attack you." "I know , but I punched him." I said while chuckling , "You did?" Alec asked as if he was surprised. "What? You thought I was weak?" I said with my eyebrows raised. Alec looked embarrassed and shook his head"No." I bursted out laughing and Alec looked at me like was crazy but he joined me and laughed too.

"Your first party here and it got ruined ." Alec said while shaking his head. I shrugged my shoulders and said" It's okay. I'm not the biggest fan of parties anyway." Alec looked at me then shrugged his shoulders "Yeah I can see that." I nodded my head.

Alec and I sat there for nearly half an hour just talking about random stuff when I heard shouting. Normally this wouldn't bother me but the voices sounded familiar . Alec was talking when I asked "Alec , do you hear that?" . Alec stopped talking and listened.

"Is that Ari and Caden?" he asked confused. My eyes widened and I quickly got up and put on my shoes ignoring the fact that my feet are wet. I followed Ari's voice and Alec followed me.

Ari's voice led me to the parking lot where I saw her and Caden shouting at each other.

"Ari I'm sorry , I love you I never stopped loving you. But I had to or your life would have been ruined ." Caden yelled , "You bastard you could have told me , we would have figured it out. " Ari cried. "I know , I was stupid . At the time I thought it was the only way .Please forgive me , give me another chance." Caden pleaded.

Ari shook her head "No , I was I in love with you but you ruined it I hate you." she yelled and ran to her car. Caden tried to follow her but before he could Alec went to him and shook his head. Caden looked at Alec in anger and tried to leave but Alec held his shoulder tightly . "Let me go after her ALEC!." Caden said from between his teeth. "Caden no. Let her calm down." Alec told Caden . Caden looked like he was about to punch Alec but he just shrugged his hand of his shoulder and yelled.

I took one look at Caden and Alec then followed Ari . I saw her standing next to her car crying.I ran over to her and pulled her into a tight hug. Ari hugged me tightly and cried into my shoulder.

I held her tightly and patted her back as she cried. After a bit she pulled away, I took a look at her and noticed that she isn't in any shape to drive, "Ari give me your keys I'll drive." I told her and put my hand out for her to give me her keys. Ari didn't try to protest and handed me her keys. I got in the drivers seat and sat in the passenger seat.

I started the car and I decided that to take her to ice cream shop we always go to . I really doubted that she would like to go to her home or mine for that matter.

We entered the ice cream shop and chose a place to sit, "I'm gonna go order some ice cream." I told Ari and went to order ice cream. I ordered our favourite ice creams flavours and I made sure to get some water.

I returned to our booth and handed Ari her ice cream and a bottle of water .Ari ate some of the ice cream and she visibly relaxed .

She looked at me then said ," I guess it's finally time to tell you about my family ."
