All This Just to Kill One Stupid Boy?

Anastasia's P.O.V

I got home and then I went up to my room. I took a shower and then I lay down on my bed. I couldn't help myself but keep thinking about the date Justin and I were supposed to go on but we probably won't anymore because of my dad. What's wrong with him anyways?

Well, no matter what... I wasn't going to let myself miss such a chance; going on a date to an expensive cinema with an extremely handsome guy, just because of dad. Not possible!

Suddenly, I heard some knocks at the door, snapping me out of my fairy tale daydream.

"Come in," I finally yelled. One of our maids opened the door slowly. What did she want?

"Your dad is calling you, he's in his study room." She said.

"Alright. I'll be there soon." I replied and she left.

Really? Why is he calling me? What is his business with me? I had asked him if I could date Justin and he said no so what more does he want to tell me, to break my heart? It was very unlike daddy not to do what I wanted him to do and I couldn't figure out why he didn't agree.

'Anyway, that's his problem cos this girl, is not going to listen to anything he says!' I thought and smirked.

After five minutes, I stood up from my bed and went to the library where the maid had said he was.

I entered the room without knocking and banged the door hard, just so it'd be clear to him that I was vexing with him.

"Ana, sit down." He ordered, flipping a large book. He looked so stupid in those nerdy glasses. He should go back to wrestling.

"What's up? Go straight to the point." I said with a bit of anger in my voice. Rude, right? I know. He understands my grievance, so he wouldn't be offended.

"I know you weren't happy when I told you you couldn't date the person you wanted to..." He said

"Yeah, I wasn't happy! But you said no and it's not like you can change it, can you?" I asked sarcastically. I was so brutal with my words when I was angry and dad just had to suffer it. Poor man! 😝

"I just wanted to let you know that I've changed my mind." My face beamed with joy when he said those words. I wouldn't have to be a bad daughter anymore!

"Seriously, dad? Thank you!"

"You're welcome, daughter. Anything for you." He said with a beautiful smile. This was the dad I knew!

"Has he asked you out yet?" He asked curiously.

"Yes, he has." 'What does he want to do with such information?' I asked myself.

"He's so quick!" He said. "To where and when?" He added. 'These were probably just questions normal fathers ask their daughters just to ensure their safety.' I thought, giving myself the answer to the question I asked myself earlier.

"To Le Grand Cinema, on Saturday"

"I was just asking so I'd decide what type of dress to buy for you and when to buy it." He explained.

That made so much sense. "Thank you so much dad!" I said and pecked him on his left cheek before I left the room. I was so happy he let me go.

Coyde's P.O.V

'So he's already asked her out to the cinema?' I thought to myself 'He really got guts!'

I really hoped he had no ulterior motives about taking her out. I also hoped he didn't have any plans to murder her and above all, I hoped he didn't even know I was hunting him down

I pray I didn't make any mistake letting Anastasia go.

I started plotting against that Justin kid. I couldn't believe that those Charles' assassins thought they could easily deceive me. That Saturday was going to be his last day alive... so he should have fun with my daughter while it lasts! I laughed an evil laugh in my mind.

But me killing Justin was going to be extreme torture for Anastasia. She looked really happy when I agreed to her dating the boy. Why did she have to make me hurt her.

Anyways, my life and ego were meant the world to me. They were extremely important to me and I was going to do anything in my power to keep them safe. Even if it meant I was going to have to hurt Anastasia's feelings a little bit.

I picked up my phone and dialed the number of one of my old friends... a very old one who could help me with assassins; Logan.

"Hello Logan." I said in a very deep, serious voice.

"Hey! Who are you?" He asked.

"It's John Coyde."

"Oh, you. Long time no see! I haven't heard from you for years now." He paused. "What do you need from me so desperately that you're calling me? You normally don't call." He said in an annoying tone.

"Can we meet in Cody's beer parlor to talk about this?" I said, not wanting to tell him what I wanted to through phone. It'll be better if we met.

"You know, I'd have agreed to it but I wouldn't want anyone seeing me with you... You know, the wrestler that was humiliated and stripped off his career by now dead Davis Cole." This was why I didn't like talking to him. He was just so provoking! "Were you involved in his murder?" He asked and I could visualize his damn face smirking.

"So, can we meet? If we can't let me know... It's something very important."

"Yeah, we can. I was just kidding earlier." He said and laughed loudly. "But you're going to pay for the drinks."

I cut the call and threw my phone on the table.

"Dumb asshole!" I cursed under my breath. All this just to kill one stupid boy? Damn it!
