Chapter 6: Royal Friends?!

I opened my eyes shifted to the other side of the bed, my drowsy mind wanted to sleep more but I shot up from my bed remembering what are we going to do today

I stood up and went to my closet, Of course there were my uniforms and the dress I wore at the Ball the other night

I sighed and shaked my head, I remembered I still haven't gotten my order of dresses, and went outside my room still wearing my night gown

When I walked out I saw Roxanne and Emily sitting in the table their teacups in their hand chatting while sipping, I scoted over to Roxanne who looked at me shocked

I knew I was messy in the morning since I had no energy to change my clothes, Roxanne wasn't in her riding attire, while Emily was already wearing it

I looked at Roxanne and she looked back at me, Emily cleared her throat and we began to chat

"Roxanne?" I said my voice toned with curiosity

"Hm?" She replied sipping her tea in a graceful manner

"Why aren't you in your attire?" I said, which made her put down her tea and made a sad smile

I was surprised to see her like that, I looked over Emily to see her very focused storing her tea, my insides twisted as I saw their reaction

"Is there something the matter?" I said, she sighed and smiled at me

"It seems like I won't be joining our beautiful day out~" she said, pouring more sugar into her Tea

"Why is that?" I asked out of curiousity, she stopped

"Reasons" she said, there was a few moments of uncomfortable silence then Roxanne finally broke it "I do believe you don't have your Ridding attire?" She looked at me

I froze, my mind went racing, my Ridding attire..... I didn't bring one, I hoped to Sarah my seamstress that she has done my ridding attire so I could join this lovely day

"Yes, I suppose" I said sheepishly, I scratched the back of my neck and smiled, she turned back at her tea

"You could borrow mine I suppose" she said, "if it fits"

My eyes lit up, Roxanne was going to lend me her ridding attire!, I was ready to explode from joy since I really do not like to be trapped in this room for a whole day

I smiled at her, putting my hand on top of hers and squeezing it, she looked at me and I smiled warmly at her

"That's most certainly wonderful" I said, "Thank you~ Roxanne"

She nodded and went back to her tea while I took my bread and stuffed it with bacon

My eyes never left the food Infront of me, I ate or tasted all the foods Infront of me and it was all delicious

Time passed and it was almost time to go~ the maid cleaned our dishes and left out one because Bella hadn't got out of her room yet

I stood up and me and Roxanne went inside her room looking for her ridding clothes, I thanked her thousands of times which made her chuckle

I smiled and saw how happy I made her, she was being all moody since she told me she wasn't able to come to our outing today

Emily went back to her room and got her hair ready for the ridding

After a minute or so, I walked out Roxanne's room with a beautiful Black long sleeved shirt and a little feet skirt, I wore long socks and sneakers, my hair was tied to a ponytail and I have no such make up on

I felt the electricity of excitement come to me, Emily walked out the door not so long ago, her hair was too in a ponytail

The three of us went to go and see Bella, we opened her door to see her smiling at herself in a mirror her hair tied to a bun

Now I was curious when did Bella woken up, she didn't have breakfast with us and she was already on her ridding attire

She turned around and smiled at us, We smiled back and I hugged Bella for no reason, the morning was so far good and giddy

I let go of her and she smiled at me

"Does this suite me well?" Bella asked, the three of us nodded aggressively, I mean, she was wearing a beautiful ridding attire, beautiful then mine

"It does" the three of us said in unison which made me and Roxanne laugh as well as Bella

We looked at the time and it was almost eight, We fixed ourselves for the last time and we each looked at the mirror

As we were done, Roxanne was sitting in the chair waiting for us, we stood at the suite's door and we bid our goodbyes to her

She smiled and waved a hand, we walked out of the room following a large group of giggling and chatting debutante, we quickly blended in and I found my way to Georgia

"Hey lady Mara~" Georgia said cheerfully, I smiled back at her

"Hello lady Georgia~" I said, we giggled as we say our names so fancy

We stopped at the stables and we readied our horses, I went to the stable master and he gave me a mare

"Be careful this girl is kind of rough and not tamed yet" he said, I smiled and took the leash

And yes, what the stable master said is true, when J grabbed on to the leash it started to go a bit wild but I was able to control it

My mare Janice was also the same when I first got her.

I heard the gentleman chat on my right side and I smirked having the thought of switching my horse with another,

Before I can walk towards the gentleman chatting a hand went to my shoulder and I looked back

I saw Bella and Emily behind her, I plastered myself a smiled seeing them

"Oh goody" Bella said joyfully, she clapped her hands together like a child and I forced down a laugh

"Good you found a Horse dropout" Emily said quite irritated, I rolled my eyes on her

"I suppose so, The stable master was kind enough to spare me some good horse" I winked at them, Bella and Emily looked at me confused while my horse shook its head

I knew the picnic would get lively.... For me of course since I was holding an slightly untamed Horse, but I could make this work

A governess blower a whistle and the debutantes along with the ladies in waiting looked at her

The Princess and the two Prince appeared with their Horse and they were chatting about something's, I don't really care

The governess started to talk about today's activities, the activities made me excited since the activities are, Archery, Horse back, and Picnic before luncheon she even said there would possibly be a sparring lesson stuff I don't know, but if got me excited

I automatically smiled, as the Princess and two prince mounted their horse the others did the same

We started to move and finally made it away from the castle, I looked back and saw how beautiful the view was, I noted to myself that to come here every when I have some time

With a cry from the crown prince the three royal kids started to dart into the forest, luckily we all knew where the picnic spot was and it was a low chance of someone getting lost

So as the prince and princess disappeared into the forest the others followed, and of course me too

I smiled, the fresh air hitting my skin as I rode me horse, at the end I firstly saw the three royals and I tried to stop

I guess the horse was to overexcited about running and it wouldn't stop, the three royal siblings saw me and I pulled the leash back causing the horse to jump a little

I giggled as I tried to calm the horse down and suprisingly it seems to like me a bit, I smiled at myself for taming this wild of a bit and didn't notice the three siblings looking at me

Finally I looked up and noticed them, my eyes went big and my tounge twisted a bit

"Y-your highnesses" I said mentally punching myself for that phrase, I didn't know what to call the Princess and the Prince all together

The crown prince chuckled and looked at me with familiarity in his eyes, I plastered myself an smile

While the prince and the princess studied us they both came into a silent agreement for something

"No need for formalities" The princess said giving me a warm smile, I gave back the warm smile with one of my own

"Call me Annie" she said and I nodded "this is my younger brother Thomas" I looked at him and he gave me a flirty wink

"Then this is, Andrew as you already know the crown prince" She continued, Andrew gave me a warm smile which send me automatically to grin

"What's your name little lady?" The young prince cut in our conversation, I looked at him and cant help to smile

"Am-" I said but got cutted off by the crown prince

"Her name's Amara Hollow.... She prefers to be called Mara" He said, I shot him a look and he shot me a wink

Gosh the Crown Prince was a flirt, though I do hear rumors about him being a little bit of a troublemaker I didn't hear that he can also be a big flirt, I fought myself to roll my eyes and I noticed that the two royal siblings were studying us

"Have you ever bumped into her dear Brother?" The young prince said smirking clearly guessing that he likes him, Andrew gave his little brother a smile

"I do, We accidentally bumped into each other while she was frustrated finding the seamstresses quarters" He replied chuckling

Whenever I heard his voice or his chuckle I can't help but to punch myself mentally since I don't know why I felt familiarity to his voice

I felt the horse below me go a bit crazy and a tugged the horse's leash a bit and it jumped which startled me and the three royal kids

When I finally got her under control I scratched her ear and looked up to the Princes and Princess

"Sorry your high-" before I could finish they shot me a look and a smile

"Sorry..... " I corrected, they nodded a bit, to be Frank is was a bit weird calling the Royals like... Equal people?

I don't know why, but whenever I was a little girl I would always get the idea of the royals being high and mighty, and all the stories I heard from them

Some I heard was a bit despicable, like how they forced their children for just to have the heir to the throne and not actually having them love one another

While another I heard they would always do everything they got to help us, and they did... Some I guess

So I grew up to be always on my guard when I was with a Royal, you don't know what more they can show

I smiled at them I looked around pointing out the direction to where was the picnic or Archery area

The royals must have seen me do it and they chuckled, they looked at me and pointed to a target hanging on a tree

I was surprised, this was the spot where we will do archery? Like riding while shooting? Wow.....

I stopped myself from saying the word Wow but my eyes were as bring as the light excited for this activity

Soon the others came and saw me and the three royal kids, we were already down on our horses and we were just waiting on the others

The three Royals were already wearing some archery gloves while I leaned back on a tree watching the skies

I heard a lot of chatting and I looked back to the direction of the royals, I saw a batch of debutantes gathering to him

The young prince and the princess was laughing themselves and saying on how ridiculous and pitiful their older brother may be

I rolled my eyes smirking, I looked to where Emily and Bella are but didn't see them, guess they were also busy flirting with the dearest Crown Prince

They were only wasting time on getting an actual husband rather than flirting with the only man everyone wants to be it thought, I shook my head and went to my horse patting it's neck

Unnoticeable the princess was on my back and she tapped my shoulder causing me to jump startled

"Sorry to startle you Mara" she smiled at me, and I awkwardly smiled back catching a breath

"Of course, what does her high- Annie want?" I said remembering she doesn't wanna be called that way "Is there something I could help you with?"

I smiled at her, she smiled back and turned around walking away, I looked at her back confused for a second

"The archery Activity is starting, do you want to watch or do you wanna Play?" She said turning her head to me and smirking competitively

I giggled quietly and nodded at her, she seems to be friendly, I walked beside her she slid an arm around my arm which made me surprised

"We're friends now aren't we?" She asked, I up at the blue sky thinking then a moment later we arrived at the Archery Floor and I finally made me answer

"Of course Annie" I smiled and her and she patted my back, she walked away for a moment, I waited for her in the exact same position where she left me

And while I was waiting I was growing tired from it and is about to turn around till I heard her voice

"Hey Mara!" She shouted laughing, I turned my head towards her and saw she was holding two sets of bow and arrows, I smirked and automatically walked to her

She gave me a bow and an arrow, Then she gave me a competitive smile and I gave it back with one of my own

"Your the first girl other than me to enjoy Archery" she said, which I took her sentence as a compliment

"Other debutantes would watch as the young gentleman's compete" she continued on "You and me would be on a same team and the most scores to shoot the red dot in the center wins"

My eyes sparked, a competition of archery one of my favorite things to do in my past time, she led me to the field which made people stare at us

The young prince and the crown prince shot us both a look and smiled at us, we both got into our position and I readied my bow

"Been a while since I held on of these" I mumbled to myself which was heard by the princess and she just chuckled

The whistle blew and Andrew was up to shoot, His eyes were calm and he shot the red dot in the center earning him some claps

After a while of shooting it was Annie's turn, she was beautiful in the sunlight, I was a bit jealous of her appearance but shook it off

I watched her shoot and it went not exactly at the center but it was almost there, she lets out a frustrated sigh and went back to me, she smiled at me and patted my back

"Good luck out there Mara" she said as she pushed me gently at the fieldx there were lots of Whispers when J walked into the field it was really uncomfortable

As I readied myself to shoot I glanced around the field seeing the Andrew smiling along with his brother Thomas, I glanced to the crowd and saw Bella and Emily looking at me in horror

I breathe deeply and focused on my target, I twisted the string a little bit and let it go, the force send the arrow swiftly flying to the target, it went to the center but the iron of the arrow went through the target and I glanced over to them and Annie

I walked back with a smirk on my face, and Annie jumping up and down impressed, behind her was Thomas the younger prince

"How did I do?" I said giving back the bow to Annie which she accepted, then she putted it down and turned to me quickly

"I didn't know you have that kind of skill!" She exclaimed, I laughed awkwardly

"Awesome skill Mara" I felt a hand on my shoulder and I quickly turned around, I saw Thomas smiling at me mischievously

I heard that the younger prince was a far more troublemaker than the crown prince, and to see those mischievous grins myself I do believe those rumors were true

"Thanks you prince Thomas" I said still not used to using their names without curtsey

"Please, Just Thomas" he chuckled, I smiled and gave him a nod, I looked around the crowd and saw Emily glaring at me while Bella was flirting with the Crown Prince

I started to wonder how will the crown prince be able to get away from those debutantes

After that Thomas and Annie was always beside me asking how did I acquire that kind of skill

"Well my father would use to teach me combat along with my older brother" I said nonchalantly, It was nice that I keep making good friends but I was also nervous on what will happen when I come back to Bella and Emily

But I'll think about it later, first I have to answer all these questions thrown into me
