Chapter 97. The Hurtful Truth

Like being hit by a thousand daggers, that was what Arjoona felt when he heard and saw the reality of his past. His heart was broken, and the eyes began to gloss. James was still sitting, looking anxiously at the change in emotion Arjoona's look. But Jayden hasn't finished telling the whole truth.

"Gerald Winthrop's son who planned the murder?" asked Arjoona with bitter saliva that he could no longer swallow. Jayden was silent for a moment before speaking again.

"He was the killer of your parents, Arjoona." Arjoona tilted his gaze slightly at Jayden.

"Turn to the last few pages of evidence of shoe soles that were found at the crime scene, read that." Arjoona looked down again and did what Jayden asked. There was a photograph of the sole of a shoe's evidence that matches Vincent Winthrop's. A particular shoe handmade from Switzerland, and just no one owned it.
