Chapter 138. The Truth

Vincent Winthrop finally found the little house he had been looking for a week ago. After receiving news about Wilda's locations, he continued to investigate all the clues. Vincent walked onto the disheveled porch, wearing a coat and tie that had been loosened. He knocked on the glass door several times. The house lights had been turned off, but it came back on when somebody knocked on the door.

Wilda opened the door and was surprised to see Vincent in front of her door, breathless.

"What are you here for? How do you know I'm here?" asked Wilda, not wanting to open the door wide.

"Wilda, please. We have to talk," Wilda shook her head quickly at Vincent, who was pleading.

"There's nothing to talk about, Vin," Vincent kept begging the door to be opened.

"Just for a moment. There's something I want to tell you. Please," Wilda, who was hesitant, finally let Vincent into her house.
