Homecoming

I spun around, there stood a woman, she had short blonde hair, she was tall, and muscular.

"You smell like blood, I like that smell. Are you hurt?" Her voice was low, and she smelled musky, but the scent was not appealing to me at all. I had never encountered a female alpha up close.

"I am." I answered, my head lowered to show submission.

"Who hurt you, was it Siren?" She was smiling as she asked.

"Zeke, and Ari." I answered, her face changed, to disapointment.

"Ari? He doesn't hurt females, or omegas, what did you do?" She was starting to sound hostile.

"I got in his way as he was attacking Zeke." Her face looked a little less disappointed,

"So it wasn't on purpose then?"

"No Ma'am." The woman smiled and nodded, she caressed my cheek with her huge hand.

"Karen, leave her alone, now." Zane's voice boomed.

"Yes Alpha Zane." Karen said sarcastically as she walked away.

"You need to join the pack, soon, so they will protect you. Take your suppressant, the one from earlier is wearing off, then go to bed." Zane ordered, I had a feeling he was trying to protect me in his own way. I nodded and closed the door, locking it. As I closed the door, I heard a ring, there was a phone on the nightstand next to the bed. I picked it up, it was like a hotel phone.

"Hello?" I was suspicious of who might be on the other line.

"Kara, settling in well?" It was Siren's deep voice, although Zeke and Zane probably sounded like him on the phone.

"Alpha Siren?" I wanted to make sure.

"Who else?" He was already sounding irritated with me, I had that bad habit of irritating people.

"Sorry sir, yes I am. And, sir, I would like to join your pack." I answered, there was a pause.

"Excellent, rest for tonight and I will pull you up in the morning, don't bother trying to call out with this phone, it doesn't dial out. See you in the morning." He hung up the phone. I felt exhausted all of a sudden, I collapsed onto the bed and was almost immediately asleep.

The ring of the phone woke me up, I felt as though I had slept for days, I was well rested. I picked up the phone and before I could say anything,

"Good morning Kara, I will be at the lift in fifteen minutes, be ready or you are staying in the pit another day." Siren's voice spoke softly, then he hung up. I jumped up, ran to the bathroom to do what I needed to do, brushed my teeth with a new toothbrush that was in the cabinet, and brushed my hair. I started to notice, I was sweating and warm. I realized I had forgotten my suppressant the night before, I quickly took them out and swallowed one.

I left the small triangular room and ran to the lift, it was only then that I noticed, my wounds didn't hurt at all. I stood there, waiting for the lift to come down, and feeling my body for pain, or injuries. My wounds had healed over, in just one night? How? The lift began to drop from above, the ground was still wet from the rain the night before, but the sky was clear now. All of the others from the pit were also gathering, to get on the lift?

"Kara, it is time for you to join the pack." Siren was on the lift as it reached the ground, I stepped up onto it with him. Siren smiled at me and sniffed the air, "You forgot your suppressant last night, did you take it?" I nodded. "You didn't tell me that you were like Ari." I froze, how did he know that? "A true wolf." He leaned into me, smelling my hair. The others walked onto the lift with us.

"Sorry sir, I was taught to keep it a secret." I was nervous. Siren laughed,

"No worries, I have a secret to, most of my pack are true wolves, Zane and Zeke are not because their mother was not, Ren and Hannah's mother was though." So Ren was a true wolf as well, so we will produce true wolf pups. Before I knew it, we were at the top, Ren was there waiting with several others, including....Zeke!!!

I was somewhat in shock, but also somewhat excited to see him. Why? Why did I feel excited to see the man who raped me? It wasn't because I liked him, it was because I could tell him about what happened in the past, he deserved to know.

"Take her to the auditorium, it is time to introduce her to the pack, call everyone for an assembly." Siren spoke to the group who stood around the pit, I noticed that Rai was with Zeke, she was scowling at me. Siren motioned me to follow him, I did as I was told. Many in the group could smell that I was in heat, Zane looked at me with surprise, did he just notice that I was a true wolf? I didn't understand, did I smell different, some way that was making it evident that I was a true wolf?

The whole group walked past the cabin house, in the day light I could see that it was a three story cabin. We walked past a barn and stable, Ari was chained to a hitching post and as we passed him, he glared at me and at Zeke.

"Did Zeke come home?" I asked Siren.

"Yes, he brought his mate though, they haven't agreed to join our pack though. He won't, since I will kill them. Zeke is almost strong enough to overthrow me." Siren laughed, I was surprised he answered me.

"Why did he come then, if I may ask?" I was curious.

"He wants me to help him change, he doesn't want to abuse his omegas anymore." Siren looked pleased. "He said it was because of you, for some reason. You are different than other omegas, you have a way of influencing people. You did it with Ari back then, he was suppose to leave you with Kang."

"You knew I was with Kang?" I felt angry, and betrayed for some reason.

"I did, but you weren't part of my pack, so I had no obligation to protect you, yet Ari disobeyed and saved you anyway." Siren looked confused, he looked down at me questioningly.

"I'm sorry sir, I don't really know what is going on myself." I shrugged.

We reached a large building after we had passed several small homes, this building looked like a large gymnasium from the outside. The crowd began to enter the building, and more people were coming from all directions. There were omegas, betas, and Alphas. Siren lead me up onto a stage that was inside the building, it was a gym, people were gathering folding chairs from behind the stage area. We waited until everyone was sitting, there were nearly three hundred people in the gym, this was not a pack, it was a den.

"How many packs are there here?" I asked Siren, he laughed.

"Smart girl, for someone who basically knows nothing of pack life. My pack consists of my direct family, my mate, and a couple of betas. We have a den with several like minded packs, and I am the leader of the den, there are twenty-two packs in the den. This is the largest den ever recorded, but it is something we need to do, since the prides are taking over the south and working their way north." Siren put his hand to his mouth and looked at me, like he had said something he shouldn't. He looked out to the crowd,

"This is Kara, a new omega to my pack, the Shadow Wolves. She is very important, and she will be protected over all else, if I find anyone hurting her, or doing anything she does not agree with, they will answer to me." A voice echoed from the crowd, followed by several others,

"Queen?"
