Inspection

Yu Feng should have known that she should never trust that good looking gentleman's words.

The other day, that gentleman called Lord Yi had told her that he was giving him his token so that she will trust him with Orange. However, just now Yu Feng found out that this token had another purpose.

The token was actually given to her so that it would be easier for her to approach that gentleman when she was supposed to be delivering messages to him!

As that gentleman's face appeared in her mind, Yu Feng found herself getting furious!

She hated getting lied to and knew that she shouldn't work with this gentleman, however, when she thought of Orange, Yu Feng found her heart heavy and she could not reject Officer Zhou's request to send out a letter to that gentleman.

"Yu Feng, ah…" The girl tilted her head up to the sky and sighed loudly. "You silly girl."

As soon as she reached the main road, Yu Feng looked at the sky to determine the time.

The sun was getting hotter but the people had not stopped visiting the market either to trade and making merry. At the side of the road, some workers have begun to set up some lanterns in preparation for the coming festival. Everyone was moving at their own pace, minding their business.

A slight frown appeared on her face as she tried to think of the fastest way to reach the location that Officer Zhou had sent her to.

To get to the port, most would take the main road until they reached the City Square, and headed east until they reached the place. However, at this time, this road was the busiest.

Because of the upcoming Lantern Festival, the government had decorated the City Square with colorful lanterns and flowers. A big stage was constructed and some rumors said that the famous singer, Wei Ran was going to show up on that day to sing.

If Yu Feng took this road, then she would run into the busy construction site and reached the place in almost a two-thirds time of an incense burning. It would not be a favorable situation since Officer Zhou's man had reminded her that this was an urgent situation.

If she wanted to head to the port, she would usually take the main road and took an exit on her right just before she reached the City Square. Then, she would enter the Bamboo Road and head east until she reached the port.

However, taking this road at this time would not be favorable.

There were a few famous restaurants throughout Bamboo Road and by the time she reached the road, the suppliers would arrive to deliver their stuff to the restaurant.

The last thing she wanted to do was to run into those suppliers and accidentally ruined their goods. Therefore, she could not take this road to head to the address that Officer Zhou had sent her.

Yu Feng tapped her finger at her chin as she tried to come up with the best solution. A glint of light passed through her eyes as Yu Feng thought of a suitable path where it would only take her less than a half time of an incense burning.

Once she had made her decision, Yu Feng slipped into the sea of people and ran into the small alley.

West Market, Capital City of Lantian

Qin Zhi Hao hopped out of the horse and immediately walked over towards the port. His two guards, dressed as his entourage were trailing after him closely.

A man in a bright blue robe approached him with a wide smile on his face and welcomed him. After exchanging some words, the man then led him towards the warehouse.

As Qin Zhi Hao walked into the warehouse, a few workers were seen busy moving around some crates. A tall man in a brown and beige robe, and salt and pepper hair stood at the center, giving the workers direction to move around the crates.

The man in the bright blue robe walked over to the man in the center and whispered something to the man in the brown robe and they turned around simultaneously. The man in the brown robe caressed his beard as he stared at Qin Zhi Hao with a scrutinizing gaze.

"My lord," one of his guards, Pei Zi inched closer to the Prince. "I have a bad feeling about this."

"Stop thinking too much," Qin Zhi Hao whispered. His gaze stayed on the man in the brown robe. "We're here to do some inspection on His Majesty's behalf. Let's not let them find out that we are here for another matter.

"Yes, my lord," Pei Zi nodded. "But, do we need to check on every warehouse and merchant that supplied their goods for the grand lantern construction?"

"If Officer Zhou did not reach here in time, then yes."

"My lord, if Officer Zhou or any of his men made contact with you at this time—"

His words were left unfinished as Qin Zhi Hao had spoken, "Officer Zhou is not that stupid. He will know what to do."

A streak of light flashed through Qin Zhi Hao's eyes as he thought of that young boy that he had made a deal with a few days ago. This would be a perfect time to test that young boy's capabilities.

Soon, the men who were busy instructing the movers walked over, and Qin Zhi Hao merely nodded towards the man as a form of greeting.

"I am called Sun Qian," the man in the brown robe introduced himself with an amiable smile on his face. He raised a brow and spoke, "I heard that you are here to inspect our goods. Are you here to purchase papers?"

"I'm here for an official affair," Qin Zhi Hao spoke. He took out his identity card and retracted them after two seconds. "I was sent here to inspect the lantern."

The man's gaze turned gentle. "So you're with the palace?" The man laughed as he continued to touch his beard. "You should have told me earlier."

Qin Zhi Hao replied with a slight smile.

"Come with me," Sun Qian waved his hand and gestured him to come over. "I will show you the paper used for the lantern. Let me tell you, the material used for the lantern was the best."
