The seventh prince, Prince Yi was fighting against time as they are trying to find evidence of the enemy trying to assassinate the Emperor. This was why he needed someone who knew the Capital City's streets and shortcuts to help him. 

When Prince Yi found out his runner's identity, he was delighted! But once Yu Feng found out the identity of the man she was working for, she tried to escape.

The Story of Yu Feng

Yan Ying looked at the Empress in disbelief.

She did not expect that the Emperor would grant the Prince's request, allowing him not to take in any consorts and concubines into his manor. She had never heard about any princes who would decline to have a few more people in their household.

After all, for the imperial family, wasn't it important to have more offspring?

What if the girl was unable to bore a child for the prince? Would the prince still refuse to take any concubine? Wouldn't the prince regret that he had requested such a thing from the Emperor? Wasn't he very foolish?

Yan Ying found that she could not understand what was the Emperor thinking when he allow the Prince to make such a request. However, the Emperor's thought was not something that she could easily guess.

The Empress stared at Yan Ying's face as a thought came to her mind. "That's right. Yan Ying, I have something to ask you."
