The seventh prince, Prince Yi was fighting against time as they are trying to find evidence of the enemy trying to assassinate the Emperor. However, recently most of his messenger never reached their destination and this has caused them a huge loss. This was why he needed someone who knew the Capital City's streets and shortcuts to help him. 

When Prince Yi found out his runner's identity, he was delighted! But once Yu Feng found out the identity of the man she was working for, she tried to escape.

“Yu Feng, you dare to run away from me. This Prince had caught you once. Believe me when I say that I will catch you again.”

The Story of Yu Feng

Yu Feng did not say a word but continued to watch her mother as she waited to listen to what she was going to say to her.

Seeing that her daughter had not spoken a word to her, Yan Ying turned to the Prince. "Your Highness, could you leave us two alone? I have something private that I needed to speak to my daughter."

"Whatever it is that you wanted to say, you can tell them with his presence here," Yu Feng spoke. "He is my husband. I don't keep any secret from him."

Yan Ying opened her mouth to say something. But in the end, she closed her mouth again.

"Madam Xu, whatever it is that you wanted to say, you better say them quickly," Yu Feng said. "Or else, I will leave."

Yan Ying felt a stabbing pain in her heart upon hearing the way that her daughter had addressed her. It seemed that she will never get to hear Yu Feng call her 'mother', again.

Yan Ying lowered her gaze, knowing that she was at fault for everything that happened between them.

Everything is Too Late
