Chapter 5

Theia's POV

I woke up to my phone ringing, grabbing it off the stand I look at the screen with eye and mediately sit up sweating. Alpha Fair's name rolling across the screen of my phone had me terrified that someone found out that I had gotten a wolf. Answering the phone, I cleared my throat.

"Good morning and Hello Alpha" I say as soon as the line opens

"Theia you are needed to help with the welcome party affairs. You need to go see the head Omega and get your list of duties. And remember when the guests get here make yourself disappear; I don't need any of the other packs knowing that there's a wolf-less living on my land. This is an order." and with that Alpha Fair hung up.

I dropped my phone on the bed and rubbed my face with my hands. 'Great, just great, the start of my summer and I get to spend the first two weeks working my ass off for a party I don't even get to attend' I thought to myself. Shoving off the bed I grab some shorts and a tank top and head in the bathroom to wake myself up in the hot water. I lather up my hair with my Shea butter and vanilla shampoo, pulling all my hair up in a twist to let the shampoo soak in. Grabbing my vanilla sugar body scrub, I clean up my body, and then rise out my hair before applying my leave in conditioner. Drying off I walk over to the sink and mirror to brush my teeth. Once I dress, I pick my phone up off the bed and send a text to the head Omega.

Hey, Alpha Fair told me to reach out to you, about my duties for the welcome party preparation. Do you want to meet up so that you can tell me what you would like me to help with?

I shove my phone in my pocket and head down stairs to get myself some food. As I enter the kitchen, I can't remember the last time I went food shopping and hope that there is food in the frig for me to make. I open the frig and end up slightly disappointed there almost nothing in there. I'm at least relived that I still have eggs and veggies and decide to make myself a monster omelet with some toast and juice. I grab the butter and put a glob in the pan to melt it on medium heat. Mixing my eggs in a bowl, I toss some cheese in it before pouring it into the pan and hearing a satisfying sizzle. I sprinkle some onions, green peppers, and tomatoes in the center with more cheese before fold the thing in half as my toast jumps out of the machine.

Just as I sit down to eat my phone beeps, I pull it out of my pocket and see the reply from the Head Omega.

You need to mow the party yard, then rack up all the cut grass. After that you need to count all the tables and chairs to make sure that there are plenty, and set them up. You'll need to decorate all the tables and trees at the party yard. Finally, you have to clear the pack guest house and get it ready to the incoming visitors that we will be having. You will be doing all this yourself; no one wants to be seen with you in person Mutt.

I reread the message, and immediately feel down. Of course, I get all the hard work. 'Oh well' I think and start to eat, I'm going to need my energy to get this all done today and then repeat it a few more times because lord knows someone is going to make more work for me. I wash my dishes and head out the door to the pack guest house.
