Chapter 8

Theia's POV

I woke up to the sun shining in my face, stretching I rolled out of the bed on to my feet, and decided to explore the large cabin, curious about all the rooms, and if there happened to be running water. Coming out of the door, I look to the right and see the stairs I came up last night and notice that the wood for everything was a lovely amber-slash-red wood of some kind. Truly beautiful wood, got to be one of a kind, I thought. Looking to the right I saw about 5 other doors, I assume they were all bedrooms, but curiosity and all I went to the first door and opened it., I was correct a bedroom. Closing the first door, I made my way to the second door, inside that room was what looked to be a file room, bunches of shelves with folders on them. Deciding it was better to not mess with anything that might be important I left that room and continued my looking around.

The third room was some sort of quick medical station. The fourth room was a bathroom, excitement lit up in my chest and I quickly tried to turn the shower on. The joy that exploded in me when hot water came out of the head was probably unneeded. I quickly cleaned off in the shower before checking out the last room on the top floor. I made my way to the end of the hall and stopped outside the fifth door. I thought I heard snoring for just a mili-a-sec, then told myself I was crazy because who would live in the cabin with everything covered in sheets. Chuckling to myself I slowly opened the door, as it opened, I took note that the dressers and stands at the far-right side of the room weren't covered with a sheet. Opening the door farther I found another bed, much larger than the one I had been in. The bed was fully made with pillows, sheets, and covers. And the covers where moving? Breathing? Oh my God someone else was in this house! Very, very slowly and quietly I closed the door and turned to speed walk to the stairs.

Taking the steps two at a time while making little noise, I decide that I'm going to explore the down stairs till I hear movement above and then book it the hell out of here. The living room is large and spacious, making me jealous that I grew up in an orphanage. Leaving that room behind I walk through the hallway that connects the front door to the living room and what looks to be the game room. Really a game room in a cabin??? Shaking my head, I moved through the door to the left and into a magnificent kitchen. I swear my jaw hit the floor, black marble counter tops, the wood was still the red weird color that seemed to warm the house. The floors, I am pretty sure are white dog wood, the kitchen is amazing and I would kill to have it. Sighing at how prefect this cabin is I make my way to the open arch way that leads back into the hall. I guess the gamers needed a quick way to the kitchen for snacks cause walking out into the hall down a few feet and in to the kitchen was too far, I roll my eyes at my own sarcastic thoughts. I look down the hall away from the front door and see three doors.

Two of the doors matched the rest of the house and the other, well let's say it was different like completely opposite of the house different. The door was black, I never knew black could be so dark. It made me feel cold and I wasn't even close to it yet. I could see a sliver door knob set into the black door. That's the last room I'll look at, nodding my head. I go one door and open it, finding a down stairs restroom, the following door leads out to the back yard, closing the back door, I pull my shoulders up and turn to face the black door. Just being across the hall from the door felt like someone was holding an air conditioner to my face. Stepping closer, felt like stepping into a freezer. I noted the detail in this door compared to the rest. This door had wolves and dragons gathered in field etched into it, the silver knob looked like a wolf's paw and a dragon's claw holding each other. Taking a deep breath and preparing to come face to face with some sort of cold weather dragon I opened the door.
