The light Before Dawn

Chapter 1 Part 1

'Quickly seal all exits! Subject Zero has escaped! He went ROGUE!'

A panicked voice shouted to the security within the laboratory. The emergency alarm went off, clearly indicating that something went wrong.

As the actions of the security were fast, it took a few minutes to completely lock down the facility. The scientists heaved a sigh of relief, knowing that the escapee will not be able to go out and bring their illegal activities to light.

But the one who caused the chaos in the first place was no-where to be seen, yet.

'Go and find Subject Zero! He was our valuable research subject, and alone he is dangerous to us!'

A middle-aged scientist, who bore the temperament of a leader ordered the security of the facility. He was the lead scientist in this project. His name is Alex Brown.

Even though he tried to put on a calm look, his voice wavered. If someone were to ask all the subjects who they hated the most, the answer would be obvious, it was Alex Brown who was most hated in this facility.

He was cruel, had sadistic tendencies, and most of all an egoistic prick who would throw a fit and fly into a rage when things won't happen according to his 'Brilliant' plans.

Subject Zero was the strongest among test subjects and was heavily guarded. So, when Alex heard that Subject Zero has escaped his cell a chill went down his spine.

Every time he would torture other subjects and Subject Zero. Other test subjects showed fear when he approached them, but Subject Zero was not like that. He was emotionless and only showed emotion one time when they brought 001 in front of him.

001 was Subject Zero's younger sister. Like him, she is also a test subject and his only living family.

Subject Zero gave Alex a sense of unease which he didn't like.

While the base is in full lockdown, the escapee Subzero [Subject Zero], was looking for his sister. He wants to find her and escape together.

While the scientists were all running towards the safe room of the facility, Subzero had already cleared the first floor, which in fact was the deepest floor of the facility, and killed every enemy on that floor.

Now he was on the second floor, moving at a fast speed.

The facility is underground, hidden skillfully from the outside world. The facility has 13 floors, and Subzero only cleared one not too long ago.

4 hours later. . . .

'Why haven't you found him yet?!? How can you not find him? Why do we even pay you?'

Alex Brown was shouting at the security captain in front of him.

'We can't find him, sir. Could it be that he already escaped somehow?'

The security captain in front of him spoke while cowering in fear.

Hearing what the security captain said, a chill went down all of their spines.

'Quick, contact the ones on the lower floors!' Alex gave the order.

'Yes sir!'

The security captain did as he was told. He contacted the teams sent down to the lower floors and his face went dark after he was not able to contact them.

Seeing his expression Alex already found out that something was not right.

'What happened?' Alex asked.

'Sir the recon teams sent drones to the lower floors. The drones were sent to floor nine to one. They didn't find Subject Zero but they saw what he did, i-it was like a picture of hell!'

Just at that moment pictures filled the big monitor in front of the crowd. These were the images of floor nine to one, each one bloody and mountain of bodies piled everywhere.

Even though everyone among the crowd was used to blood and gore, everyone felt like puking and some of them could not hold it anymore and started puking without stopping.

They were shaking and shivering, all of them were shaking, some shivering out of fear, some out of disgust.
