Return!

I left the Secret Realm with a new companion and looked at the sealed entrance. I wanted to stick around and kill some beasts to level up, but Dalia included to picture, I cannot stay long. Also, Dalia said there are strong beasts who can kill me without lifting their paws in the forest, so I left without looking back. I already achieved what I came for anyway.

After I left the cave, I looked around the entrance blocked by Illusion type array. I found a device in Leopard Envoy's spatial ring that can point to the entrance and ignore the array. It shouldn't be one of a kind, thus if I left it like this, more envoys of Feline God come.

I willed my mana with the device I founded and had greater control over the array and could analyze deeper into it. Arrays were complicated structures mended with magic, and their function differed from concealing to killing. Illusion arrays were mostly for concealing what laid behind it. It was the same with the array in front of me.

Array core was a high-level illusion artifact created in outer space. At my level, I couldn't break it. I could alter it so no one could see it, but it still wouldn't keep Feline God out. Since he got a suspicion of the entrance to the Ancient World. My best choice was destroying the core and creating a new one. I couldn't achieve this no matter what, but now that I had someone who could stand just beside me.

"Dalia, can you form runes?" I asked. She lost her memories, thus I wasn't sure if she still could form runes or not.

"I should be able to. What do you have in mind?" She asked.

"I want to seal this entrance so no one can go in and destroy the seal you placed," I emphasized the seal she had placed on the entrance of the Ancient World to convince her.

"I can do that." She nodded. "I can create a barrier no one in this puny world can destroy." She said with disdain.

"No, no. I want a seal that can conceal this entrance. So no one can find it." I asked nicely. What was the point of a barrier, if anyone knew what was lying behind it. It still could people out, yet people would never tired of trying to go inside.

"Oh, sure. I can do that." She answered after thinking for a while.

"Then, can you please, first destroy the core of the array," I asked and she just reached out her delicate hand. Then she pinched her two fingers and the array got destroyed just like that. My face twitched when I saw how easy she could destroy the top-notch array from outer space.

Then she rose her two arms and started to mumble some ancient yet foreign language. I see elements in the air drift towards her. There were shadow elements, eternity elements, mirror elements, barrier elements, and illusion elements. Other I couldn't see but feel nonetheless.

'Power System in the Ancient World must be different from ours. She is just using elements she needs to form the runes. I can only see the elements I have, but I can feel close to twenty others. She cannot possess these many elements.'

The area between her two arms shone like a star. I couldn't look directly, but I created eternal shade with a barrier and put it in front of my eyes like sunglasses. It helped me, and I could see the formation of a rune. Each element she drew from the air, placed at a certain point to form the letter. When they were consolidated, the rune formed, and she gracefully fanned her hand. The rune she had just forged placed onto the cave entrance and stood there.

"Is it done?" I asked with marvel.

"Of course not. It was just the base of the formation. Real work starts now." She started to pull in more and more elements and rune after rune, smaller than the first one created. I was watching without blinking but still couldn't understand a single thing. I could feel how the elements were answering her calls, and how she was forming them. But the formula behind the creation was not something I could figure out just by watching.

Rune after rune flew in the air and landed on the entrance. With each one, it got more ethereal. And when she finished casting, I couldn't even see a single seam. If I weren't looking at the entrance a few minutes ago, I would have never thought that there is an entrance on that wall.

"Phew. Finally done." She sighed and fakely mopped her brow. She didn't even sweat while forming the most powerful concealing barrier in the universe.

"How does it work? How often should we replace the energy source?" I asked.

"No need to do that, silly. The energy source is the world itself. Runes are structures formed by elements of the universe. They are linked to the universe itself. As long as the universe stand, this rune will stand here." She said as if she was explaining something simple. In the meantime, I was looking like a stupid with my mouth agape.

'How strong are the people of the Ancient World. What happened there?' There was no way for me to find answers, thus pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind. Dalia already agreed to teach him rune formation. By it, he could one day form his own formation.

"Let's go." He turned back and started to run. After giving a last nervous look at to the entrance, Dalia also turned around and followed suit.
