♠️CHAPTER 21♠️

HARU'S P.O.V

4.00 pm

Location : Chicago

"Haru." Kang was waiting for me outside. I realized that we're not in Wisconsin. "Where's Bryan?" I asked as I stepped out of the car. "Somewhere. I'm not really sure." He replied.

Then I recalled something from 7 years ago, he talked about this ago... Well, not talk. Sometimes he mutters in his sleep until it sounds like talking. He always said that he regretted going to Chicago that time...

"You noticed it, right?" I asked as I leans by the car. 

"Noticed what?" He was really confused. 

"He talks in his sleep..." I spoke as I put my hands in a pocket.

"Yeah.. I think it's about an illegal race?" Kang sighed. "Mhm. 7 years ago, you knew that I was gone for the summer right?" I asked him again. "Yes." 

"Well, Bryan snuck out during the summer and took a bus to a Chicago while my parents were at Malaysia to welcome me and Mero..." I explained. He then asked me "Why didn't he tell you?" I didn't know how to answer that. 

I looked down as I put my hoodie on "He never told me about Chicago..."

"Well, let's go to him." He said as he stood back properly. 

"Yeah." I was convinced by him easily.... 

KANG'S P.O.V

We searched for Bryan for hours now when we found him at a highway district, leaning on a light pole while smoking a cigarette. He looks very stressed and restless. It was weird for him to look like that. He's like that calm and mature type.

"Oi!" I tapped on his shoulder. He looks over his shoulder with a surprised face.

"W-What are you two doing here?" He stuttered as he put out his cigarette. "We were roaming around the town like some looney teenagers." I explained sarcastically. Haru then pushed me away and asked him "Can you explain why didn't you tell me about it back then?"

He sighed as he looked back at the road.

"I didn't want tell you about this. Because there were 2 reasons. First, I didn't want to because I don't want your parents to lecture and nag me. Second, I don't want you or your younger sisters to get involve with something like this. That's the only secret I never told anyone." He explained. I had a deep thought for a while about what Bryan said about secrets. He's lying about it. He has too much secrets...like...

His past life... Before he was raised in the Yegami family, he must have a mom and dad right? Haru said that when they found Bryan, he was wearing clothing from a very prestigious family, yet he has wounds around his body and he was black and blue, his head was full of wounds when they found him.. It took him almost half a year to heal himself from the injuries.

Haru suddenly interrupted me "Hey, come on Felix said he found a rent house." Bryan and I stood back up and went to the house..

THAT NIGHT

I dreamt about...

  I saw a lots of glass shatters and there was some on the top of my head...

My hair was pulled by two older boys...

I was thrown away by some people...

"Ahh!"I screamed slowly in my unconscious body yet, I can't forget what happen 15 years ago...
