The late night porridge

The next day when Aman, Mei Wei and Luo Li were having breakfast, Kevin also appeared there with a face full of smiles. Behind him was his assistant, Asnee, following him. He was still looking as timid as he was when he came yesterday.

Kevin loudly greeted everyone sitting at the table, "A very good morning to everyone." 

Only Mei Wei, Luo Li and Aman were sitting at the table, having their respective breakfast. Two other servants were standing behind them to serve the food.

Here in the Mei Mansion, everyone had their breakfast at the same time whether it was a servant or the owner. The two servants whose duty was to serve the food had their breakfast early while the other were still on it.

Aman also followed this schedule, when he first entered the Mei Mansion, but after a few weeks, Mei Wei started insisting Aman to have breakfast with him. Thus it slowly became a habit for them. At seeing Kevin at breakfast early in the morning each one of them groaned inwardly. However, Aman and Luo Li were successful in showing a false bright smile. Whereas Mei Wei did not bother to show a little bit of courtesy to Kevin.

Mei Wei didn't reply but only nodded. Aman and Luo Li answered him softly, "Good morning." 

Kevin looked at the people sitting and confusion spread on his face, he asked, "Where is Mei Wang?"

Mei Wei replied coldly, "If you want to have breakfast with him then go to his room. He doesn't come here. At least we would have one less nuisance then."

Kevin knew all about the fraction between Mei Wei and Mei Wang. Thus he didn't say anything. He sat on one of the chairs. Asnee was still standing behind him and it didn't look like Kevin had any intention to let him sit with them. 

Asnee did not say anything and stood there quietly but it was obvious that he had not eaten his breakfast yet. Aman saw him helplessly looking at the table but he was not saying anything. Aman sighed at his timidness and said, "Secretary Benjawan you should also sit and have breakfast with us."

Asnee looked somewhat startled. He was going to politely reject the offer but Mei Wei also spoke, "Yes, yes secretary Benjawan. I insist too."

Kevin also remembered about Asnee. He then motioned him to sit down and said, "Yes Asnee, why are you standing there? Come and have breakfast." His tone was boring and full of fakeness like he didn't want to say that but someone was forcing him to.

Kevin reluctantly sat on one of the chairs. He quietly started eating his breakfast. 

Kevin looked at all the contents on the table. He saw there were several dishes on the table. The previous three occupants of the table were each having different dishes.

Luo Li had some lightweight dishes that were good for the diet. Mei Wei was having a traditional Chinese breakfast. On the other hand, Aman was having a dish which looked quite spicy. Kevin was sure that the dish was purely made of vegetables and many different spices.

An idea formed in his head, he looked at Aman and said in a flirty tone, "Aman why are you eating only vegetables? I can understand Luo Li as she needs to maintain her beautiful figure, but why you? You should eat some meat too. Look at you, you are lean and short in height." As he said this he grabbed a bowl of a dish which was made with meat.

Before he could put it on Aman's plate, Mei Wei grabbed his hand, "There is no need for it." He said in a cold and non-arguable tone.

However, Kevin misunderstood his intention and thought about making him look like a generous person. He argued again, "Yes there is. I understand that Aman is your servant but I am your elder Mei Wei and I am telling you that you should care about your servants too. They deserve respect and acknowledgment too. Let him have some meat." 

Mei Wei was losing his patience, he clenched his fist under the table, and he suddenly had the urge to thrash this person very badly. but Aman put a hand on his knee to soothe him. Mei Wei angrily shut his mouth before he could say or do something that he didn't want Aman to see.

Aman spoke softly, "Mr Evans, the thing is I can't eat this meat because I am a vegetarian. Me and sister Li both are. So I am sorry that I can't accept your offer." He explained to Kevin in a gentle voice.

Kevin was taken aback. He acted rashly and didn't think about the possibility of Aman being a vegetarian. But he recovered himself quickly. He put the bowl back on the table, smiling, "Oh! it's not a problem then. I apologise for my rashness. Although you must understand that I was only worried about you. You can have your breakfast now." Mei Wei also calmed himself down.

But Kevin was not satisfied with his efforts yet. He thought of another idea. He asked Aman in a flirty tone, "Aman your dish looks quite tasty. Can I taste it a little?"

All of them looked at him. But he was looking straight at Aman.

Everyone sitting around the table has seen through his schemes. But it was not Aman who answered but Luo Li. 

She said in a happy tone, "Why not? You don't have to only taste it, in my opinion, you should have the same breakfast as Aman." She winked at him. 

Kevin nodded eagerly. He thought that Luo Li might help him with his prospect. Aman tried to say something to Luo Li but she gave him a look. Both of them had a tactical understanding so Aman didn't say anything.

Kevin motioned to a servant standing behind him and she served him the same breakfast as Aman. When Kevin put the food in his mouth he clenched his eyes shut. He couldn't believe it. It was so spicy. His mouth started to burn and tears brimmed in his eyes.

Luo Li smiled widely, she said, "Isn't it really tasty? You know it's Aman's favourite breakfast. Even Mei Wei sometimes eats this. Don't you like it, Mei Wei?"

Mei Wei nodded and replied, "Yes, it's delicious sister Li. MY Aman's preference is always the best."

Mei Wei deliberately said the word 'my' aloud. His intention was to tell Kevin that Aman was only his, so Kevin should give up. But Kevin was not the one who would accept defeat from a teenage boy. He gritted his teeth and tried to bear the burning sensation in his mouth.

Kevin, who had drunk a whole glass of water in front of them nodded slowly. His voice was low, "Yeah yeah it's delicious." 

 Luo Li giggled, "Is that so? Then you should finish it all. In fact even for lunch and dinner, Aman's favourite is going to be made. I also had a taste of this. The spiciness is somewhat less today. But don't worry, I assure you that lunch and dinner will be more spicier.

"You must eat that with us. Tell me, will you? Please say yes, Aman will like it."

While she was saying this, though her face was full of smiles her eyes were cold. She was deliberately doing all of this. It was her method to slowly torture the target. She kicked Aman on the foot, sitting in front of him. 

Aman quickly agreed by nodding his head slowly, "Yes I like spicy food." It was all he could say.

Luo Li also gave Mei Wei the look to shut up and watch the drama while eating melons.

Kevin couldn't imagine finishing it all. What's more now he had to have lunch and dinner like this too. He was thinking this boy was becoming too difficult to get. But for him, the more difficult things get, the more brutally he will crush it afterwards. 

Thinking about when Aman would lay under him and beg for mercy with misty eyes, full of lust, he couldn't control himself. He nodded his head slowly, "Of coursssseee, I would love to."

He finished his breakfast with much difficulty, too much water and red tongue and lips. 

After he finished breakfast he strode away from the breakfast table like someone was chasing after him. Asnee also went after him. Seeing him like this the three who were still sitting around the table laughed loudly.

Suddenly Luo Li's phone rang, her expression turned gentle and a playful smile appeared on her face. She immediately excused herself and went away. 

Aman was still maintaining a smile, his white teeth were making his face more handsome. Mei Wei felt his heartbeat increasing. 

But suddenly he remembered something, and Mei Wei's expression changed. He grabbed Aman's wrist and looked straight into Aman's eyes. His face was solemn and he spoke in a serious tone, "See I told you he wants to impress you." 

Aman's smile did not falter instead he assured Mei Wei, "But I am not getting impressed, my prince. I will never be impressed by him. I promise."

Mei Wei calmed down greatly by the reassurance of his statement but still ordered Aman in a serious tone, "Anyhow you must stay away from him." 

Then he thought that his tone was not right, he softened his tone, held Aman's hand and started rubbing it with his thumb. He spoke, "Aman I know I am sounding like a control freak but believe me you don't know about that person. He is evil so you should stay away from him." 

Aman was touched by Mei Wei's concern for him, he squeezed his hand and said, "I know I will be careful in future."

In the afternoon Kevin realised that he hadn't seen Mei Wang since morning. Thus he went to Mei Wang's room and saw him lying under a quilt. He sat near his feet and patted one of his feet, he was going to ask why he was lying there like a sick person.

Unfortunately for Mei Wang, it was his injured foot. He winced and cried, "What the hell are you doing here?"

Kevin replied, "Hey! No need to be angry dude. I am just here to ask why you haven't gotten out of your room since morning." 

Mei Wang replied angrily, "None of your business. Now get out of my room." As he said this he kicked Kevin with his uninjured foot.

Kevin got up and looked at Mei Wang, "Okay- okay I can see that you don't need my sympathy. I am going out." Just as he reached the door, he looked back at Mei Wang and sneered, "Don't get well soon."

Poor Kevin had to eat spicy food for lunch and dinner because either Luo Li or Mei Wei was watching him. They were very happy at seeing him suffering.

At night he couldn't control himself. His whole body felt like it was on fire. His stomach churned and he couldn't control himself now. He was feeling very sick. He emptied all the contents of his stomach.

Now he was feeling extremely hungry but the problem was that he didn't know how to make food. And he couldn't ask a servant because if the servant told Luo Li or Mei Wei then they would surely make fun of him. He felt helpless. Suddenly he heard a knock on the door.

"Come in", he answered.

Aman walked into his room, holding a tray with a bowl in it. Kevin looked puzzled, he stood still. Aman walked near him, and before Kevin could ask him why he was there Aman suddenly grabbed his wrist. Kevin closed his mouth that he had opened to talk. He was only looking at Aman's serious face. He felt like he looked stunning. His heart quivered a little. Kevin felt strange, he had never experienced these types of feelings for anyone.

Suddenly Aman spoke, "As I feared you have diarrhoea and fever. Here, I brought some porridge for you. Eat this, it will help you to soothe your stomach." 

As he said he put the plate on the bed. Kevin was still feeling weird, "Oh.. okay... I am sorry...no...no, I mean good luck.... urgh I mean thank you."

Aman giggled, "It's alright. Eat this while it's hot. I gotta go." He started walking towards the door but stopped midway and turned back and said, "Don't tell anyone about this, especially my pri- I mean master Mei Wei. Can you keep this a secret?"

Kevin agreed at once and said coyly, "Of course, I will. It will be our little secret."

When he reached the door, he again turned back, he smiled kindly, "And don't try to show your courage like this. If you can't eat spicy food then you can't. It's not your weakness. One's health is most important. Remember to go and see a doctor tomorrow as soon as possible."

He looked at him one last time and showed him a small and kind smile.

Aman gave him a small nod and then left. Kevin stood there still. That kind smile was still imprinted on his mind. He looked at the bowl of porridge, he held the bowl in his hands. He slowly ate it, he felt blissful while eating it.

He remembered the events that happened just now. It was only a small gesture but he felt strange feelings in his heart. He had never felt like this but then, nobody cared about him like this. All of them were just for fun or one-night stands. Neither he nor they cared about each other's feelings.

But now he was suddenly feeling these types of feelings and he felt quite good and he felt even more determined to make Aman his completely...
