The Padma Royal Family

Over the next three weeks, the village's atmosphere shifted once again. The peaceful calm vanished almost overnight, replaced by a chilling sense of fear. The Churel had returned—and this time, she was far more vicious than before. Some nights, she claimed the lives of multiple men, leaving the villagers gripped with terror. As dusk approached, families locked themselves indoors, and by nightfall, the village resembled a ghost town.

Temples and holy sites became hubs of frantic activity, with continuous rituals being performed in hopes of warding off the evil. Amidst all the dread, there was only one person who seemed oddly content—Tamsi, the village tantric. His business was booming like never before. Every day, villagers formed long queues outside his hut, desperate to get their hands on protective threads and enchanted rings he claimed would keep the Churel at bay.
