Verelet

"Are you sure? Do you really have to go that fast?", asked Rabin.

"I am sorry but I have to go. Some work came up and I have to finish it.", said Axel.

"Well if you have some work then I cannot hold you up. But do remember that we are friends now. You can call me anytime for help if you need it.", said Rabin.

Axel shook his hands and said his goodbyes. Rabin was very reluctant to let him go but after hearing it from Angela he could understand why.

He took the flight directly to Violet City. It was not very far but It would still take around 10 hours to reach there. This world was very big and even the closest city would take so many hours to reach there by flight.

###

"Dear passengers, we have safely reached Violet city. Do remember to take your belongings with you.", said the air hostess.

Axel safely reached Violet city. He went out of the airport and then booked a hotel room. He had reached here a day before Angela, so he thought to explore the place a bit.

However, he still had to make training plans for his new Pokemons. After thinking for a bit he decided to research about it.

His first destination was Violet city and the gym of Violet city. It was not only cause of the game as the Violet city was the first gym city but also due to the library.

Yes, Violet city had the biggest library in the Johto region. It was not the biggest in the whole world but Axel felt that he could acquire a lot of knowledge about his new Pokemons from the library.

There was internet in this world, so trainers could get a lot of information from it but libraries as big as this have many secrets that were not told on the internet.

Since it was the biggest library in the whole region, it was also very difficult to enter. It was a public library but it was not free. You would have to pay some money to get there. However, money was also not enough. You also needed to have some influence. Cause if you don't have any influence, you would need to wait for a long time.

The long list of waiting members was very high. Since it was the biggest library, people from all over the region came here to read. So, there was a huge waiting list for it.

Axel thought to try his luck today. Maybe he might get in with his name. He didn't know but he was excited to find out.

###

The place was very big. It looked like a medieval-type mansion with peaks. It was grey and brown in color and instead of floors, there were multiple buildings connected with each other.

Axel was impressed after seeing the building structure. How many secrets does this library have? He didn't know but he wanted to find out. He had heard a lot about this library. Some said that the library was so big that one cannot read all the books in their 7 lifetimes. There were also rumors that there was a restriction to go inside certain buildings and it was only reserved for the royal family of the Johto region.

Axel didn't know if he could get inside today. He just thought to try his luck. He had influence now. He was the successor of the Pokemon master and he had discovered eeveelutions. He was also the recent finalist of the league battle of Kanto region. So he assumed that he would get an entry.

###

The line was long and it extended outside of the library. Axel had to take the last place and wait to get his turn. If this was Kanto region, he may have cut the line and none of them would have said anything. But this was a different region altogether.

After waiting for 30 minutes, his turn finally came. He was now staring at a beautiful receptionist.

"Hello, welcome to Violet City Library. Have you already registered to go inside?", asked the receptionist.

"No, this is the first time I have come here."

"Alright, can you tell me your name?", asked the receptionist.

"Axel Blaze."

"Alright, Mr. Blaze, since this is the first time you have come, let me give a brief orientation about this place.

There are 7 buildings in this huge library. Each building has multiple floors and each building represents the security and privacy level. For example, building 1 has the least clearance and costs very less amount of money while building 7 is not accessible to the general public. Only buildings 1 to 6 are could entered.

You can come here for 7 consecutive days and after that, you would have to register again. The cost of building 1 is lesser while the cost of building 6 is the highest."

"Does building 1 have a separate genre of book than other buildings?", asked Axel.

"No, each building covers all the subjects from history, all about Pokemons; their typings, move set and other things.", said the receptionist.

"What is the cost for building 6 and how much time it would take to get entry on it?", asked Axel.

"It would take 10 million Pokedollar for a day. Your turn would come relatively faster than other buildings as not many people come to this building.", said the receptionist.

10 million Poke dollars?

That was a huge amount of money!! No wonder people didn't come into this building.

"Is 10 million Poke dollars really worth it?", asked Axel.

"It depends on what you are searching for but I have heard that it is worth it.", said the receptionist.

"What is the cost for building no. 4?"

"500k Poke dollars for a day."

"Give me a pass for building 4 for a day. And if I want to come here after 2 days, can I come without waiting?", asked Axel.

"I am sorry sir but you cannot.", said the receptionist.

Axel was curious about this library but he was starting to hate it. Angela would be coming tomorrow, so he could not go to the library tomorrow. However, he did plan to stay here for a couple of days to see what this library was all about.

But the rules of this place were very annoying.

"Ok, 500k for a day but I want to enter now. Also, I can buy or borrow the book here?", asked the receptionist.

"You can only buy some special books from Building 1 and you cannot borrow any books. This is done to secure the books in the library.

Furthermore, I don't think that you can go in today but I can book you for the day after tomorrow. Should I do it sir?"

"I have heard that a person could enter here faster if you have some influence."

"Yes, that is true."

"So, I am going to use my influence. I am Axel Blaze from the Kanto region. You can check up on me if you want."

"Sir, just give me a minute, I will have to contact the manager for it.", said the receptionist.

This took around 5 minutes and the receptionist finally came saying, "Sir, I am sorry that I didn't recognize you. You can go to building 4 right now. My friend here will guide you.", said the receptionist.

Finally, her brain had still started to work. Axel didn't want to brag but he was a huge name in the young generation category.

The friend who was guiding Axel started to talk about the library. The name of the building 4 was 'Verelet'. Axel didn't know what that meant but it sounded cool. After walking for 5 minutes, they reached the building.

The building seemed to have 4 floors and it was very wide from the outside. It was brown and grey in color and it looked majestic. It looked like one of the castles in the medieval era.

"There is an AI and also plenty of librarians to guide you in the building. If you have any problems, you can ask the librarians.", said the girl and went on her own way.

Axel took a big breath and entered the building. The building was even more massive from the inside.

There were large tables and chairs all over the place and there were many columns of books. The whole place was filled with books and Axel could smell the paper of the books. He could also hear the silence except for the papers that were flipping.

He was greeted by a librarian. The man was wearing a suit and had a big beard. He also had very small hair on his head. He looked professional.

"Sir, Welcome to Verelet. Can you tell me what you are searching for? I would guide you to it."

Axel first asked what could be found on each of the floors. The librarian was quick with his reply. The first floor was related to history. The second was related to resources, medicines and vitamins for the Pokemons. The third and fourth floor was related to Pokemon training, moves, ranks, evolution and much more.

"Can you get me all the things related to Togepi line, Totodile line, Mankey line, Bagon line, Slowpoke line and Aerodactyl line?", asked Axel.

"Sir that would be a lot of books. You can't possibly read all of them in one day.", said the librarian.

"Just get all of them to me and I will sort it out. You can also help me in sorting it out.", said Axel.

The librarian complied and went on his way to gather all the books. Axel was told to sit on the chair and to wait.

After 20 minutes, the librarian got all the books. There were more than 50 books altogether. The librarian was absolutely right. Axel could not possibly read all these books in 1 day.

Most of the books were not very heavy or big. They were small and medium-sized. But all of these would take more than a week for Axel to go through.

First, he took out all the history books except for Aerodactyl and Mankey. Then he took out all the resources and medicines books except for Togepi. After discarding all these books, there were still 28 books left to read.

Then he discarded all the books related to Slowpoke. Axel didn't need to concentrate on it now as it was already a king rank Pokemon and he had some knowledge about it.

He also took out all the training books related to Totodile line as he already had one.

Then he selected 2-3 books for each Pokemons. After the final selection, there were still 11 books.

These 11 books were not so heavy and big in general. Axel felt that he could complete all of these books in 24 hours. Yes, Axel was going to stay here for an entire day. He was not going to lose any money. He was going to utilize it fully.

The books were also properly coded based on their rarity, so Axel only chose those books that were rare and could not be found in the public.

###

All these 11 books were not available in the public domain, so he was interested in finding some new things about his Pokemons.

He was not going to read all these books line by line. He would see the topic in the table of contents and if the topic interested him, then he would read it in detail. He had to prioritize.

The first thing he selected were books related to Mankey. He first opened the book relating to the history of Mankey.

He chose it cause he wanted to know if there was any mention of Annihilape on it. He finished the book in 20 minutes. The book was big, but he only read the topics related to its evolution.

Unfortunately, the book didn't confirm that there was further evolution of Primeape. There were some theories that indirectly led to it. It was said that the anger that Primeape felt was very unique. The book said 'what would happen if the anger burst out and they were able to capitalize on that anger?'

The book did say that they didn't have complete information on ancient Pokemons, so they didn't know about it.
