Dragon Test 1

Axel could see the arrogance of other dragon-type Pokemons while they were in for the test.

'Is that test too hard to handle? Why are they acting like we just sent our children to die?', thought Axel.

The deed was already done and now the test was going to start. He hoped that Bagon would be alright.

BANG!!!

The pressure from Salamence was so high that it sort of created a loud invisible explosion. Axel and the group were far behind and yet they could feel the pressure. It became very difficult for them to even move. Axel could see that K had started to bleed from his nose.

What the hell was that?

There was nothing there. Axel could not see anything except for the wind pressure. The wind pressure was so high that Axel could literally see the air coming down on their Pokemons.

Axel could see that Salamence's eyes had started to glow in blue color and Bagon was struggling to even stand up. Its eyes were closed from high pressure.

Axel and the group quickly went back to save themselves and then only could he see properly on the stage. The stage was cracked from the pressure and….

BANG!!!!

Kingdra was thrown out from the stage. Lance wanted to run to see why that happened but Axel stopped him. The pressure was too high to even go near Kingdra.

'Does that mean that Kingdra could not handle the pressure and it is out?', thought Axel.

After a few seconds,

BANG BANG

Flygon and Haxorus were also out from the stage. From seven, the number had changed to 4. Axel could not believe that Bagon was still holding on.

"Come on Bagon!! You can do it.", shouted Axel to cheer it up.

Bagon eyes shined after hearing Axel and it decided to reach the end. It wanted to complete this challenge and prove that it was a powerful dragon-type Pokemon.

40 seconds had passed since then and

BANG!

This time it was Hydreigon that came out of the stage. All the 4 Pokemon that had come out were not even able to stand up. Axel didn't know what was happening but the pressure must be very high.

Axel started to count the seconds and slowly it passed and finally, Salamence's eyes turned normal.

All 3 of the Pokemons that had completed the challenge automatically fainted after completing it.

Salamence then turned towards the group and said, "These 3 have passed the test. They deserve applause for it."

ROOAR

ROOOAR

ROOOARR

The dragon-type Pokemons in this place started to roar out loudly as if they were congratulating them and respecting them for the job well done.

"For their bravery, they will get a chance to go inside the draconic caves for 2 hours. The place would heal them and also help them in many other ways.

Remember, only 30 minutes for the small guy.", said Salamence with a smile while looking at Bagon.

"Umm… can you tell us where are you sending our Pokemons?", asked Lance as the other dragon-type Pokemons were already carrying their Pokemons to the cave.

"Don't worry. We have some special caves that are very good for dragon-type Pokemons. That cave would heal them, power them up, and also help them comprehend dragon-type infinity energy. That would basically make them stronger.", said Salamence.

"Then why did you tell my Bagon could only stay there for 30 minutes?", asked Axel.

"Those caves are mysterious. Even I don't know when they were made and how they made it. However, a small dragon-type Pokemon like your Bagon would not be able to handle its energy.

If Bagon stays there for more than 30 minutes then it would be harmful for it."

"Can we see those caves?", asked Lance.

"You cannot."

"That means, after we claim this place, we can see it?"

"No, you cannot do that.", replied Salamence.

"But why? After we pass the test, we have the right to see it.", said Lance.

"You are wrong. When you pass the test and claim this place, your Pokemons have the right to use the resources of this place and train. You don't have that right and that cave is very personal to our dragon-type Pokemons. So, you cannot see it."

Axel could see that they had touched on the topic that was making Salamence very angry. It was controlling its anger but its voice was raging with every word and the pressure near it was also increasing.

Everyone cursed Lance was being Lance. That was a dragon-type Pokemon. It had its pride and arrogance. Why would Lance ask such stupid questions?

"Since you have healed our Pokemons, can't you also heal those that are out of the stadium?", asked Lance.

"Those who are weak don't have the right to receive my help. These dragon-type Pokemons of yours don't have the will of the dragon. They don't have their pride. They are like normal Pokemons and you have raised them and made them weak!!!"

The disgust on the face of Salamence was evident. This was the true nature of dragon-type Pokemon.

They have their pride. They also have love and friendship with one another but they hate weakness. If a dragon-type Pokemon saw that another dragon-type Pokemon was weak then they would humiliate with them and never ever see them again. Lance knew this and also knew that his Kingdra, Flygon, Hydreigon, and Haxorus were going to suffer now.

They were not going to suffer physically but mentally. A dragon-type Pokemon had said that they were weak. They were also dragon-type Pokemon and they also had their pride but now their pride was crushed. Lance knew that he was going to have a headache in the future.

###

After 30 minutes, Bagon came out of the cave. Axel could see that Bagon was already healed and it looked energetic.

 ---

Ding!

Bagon has been inside the draconic cave for 30 minutes.

Ding!

Bagon's special defense has been upgraded to S rank.

Ding!

Bagon's agility has been upgraded to A+ rank.

Ding!

A mysterious dragon energy revolves around Bagon. This would have future benefits.

 ---

Axel was surprised that its body stats could also increase inside the cave. If Bagon's agility had been upgraded to S rank, then it would have evolved to Shelgon.

Lance had healed his other Pokemons that went outside the stage. However, it was not a physical injury but a mental one. So, they needed some time to be completely healed.

2 hours were finally completed and….

ROOOOOARRR

They could hear a loud roar from Dragonite.

"Congratulations, your Dragonite is ranking up to king rank.", said Salamence.

Lance wanted to go inside and see the rank-up process but Salamence would not let it go. It did tell Lance that it could remain just outside the cave.

After 20 minutes, Dragonite came out of the cave looking dominant. Everyone could tell by its aura that it had become a king-rank Pokemon. Lance had expected it to go haywire but fortunately, Dragonite had controlled its emotions and it was looking very happy after rank up.

Lance started to look around his first king-rank Pokemon.

"Congrats Dragonite and Lance. Your first king rank Pokemon.", said Axel patting his back.

"Thanks, it would have taken longer time if not for this cave."

Other Pokemons also came out from the cave. They had not reached king rank like Dragonite but Axel could tell that they were very near to reaching it.

###

"It is now time for the second test. You will only pass if I am impressed with your attack moves."

Axel didn't concentrate on others. He only concentrated on his Pokemon, Bagon. Bagon was the first to try its best attack on Salamence. Salamence was just going to stand there and defend it.

He first looked at its stats:

 ---

Pokemon's name: Bagon (Age- 2.5 months)

Pokemon Nickname: NA

Pokemon Rank: common rank

Ability: Rock head (40%)

Hidden ability: Sheer force (24%)

Potential: Black (Monstrous)

Health: 1500/1500 Attack: S

Agility: A++ Defense: S

Sp. Atk: S Sp. Def: S

Moves: Dragon rush (C) (Lvl 28), Fire fang (C) (Lvl 29), Defense curl (C) (Lvl 28), Headbutt (G) (Lvl 36), Thrash (C) (Lvl 25)

 ---

Its move level was not as impressive as Togepi or other Pokemons but it was powerful. Axel had a thought that, since it had not even gotten over its baby phase, it was still underdeveloped.

"Bagon, we can only use one attack. So, we are going to use 'Headbutt'. Store as much energy on your head. Don't let the energy overflow. Just do it slowly and control it fully.

Use your maximum power and then STRIKE!!!", shouted Axel.

Bagon's head shone in white light as it rushed towards Salamence. There was not even a hint of fear in its eyes. It wanted to deliver that move with its full power and that is what it did.

BANG!!!

The power of the attack was not huge as it was still a baby Pokemon but Axel could say that it was impactful.

"You passed!!", shouted Salamence with a happy face.

Bagon was over the moon. It was still a baby and it loved to be recognized. It happily went towards Axel to give a hug.

"Now, come on. Don't waste my time.", said Salamence.

Others also used their big moves. The impact of those moves was very high as they were in pseudo-king and king rank levels.

Fortunately, all 3 of them also passed the test.

"Since you have passed the test, this paper would belong to you.", said Salamence suddenly summoning the paper. Lance was excited to receive it. He had finally completed his mission here.

"Salamence, do you have some resources that would help in making its ridges stronger and sturdier?", asked Axel.

He only had a limited supply of it and it was running out. He would need it when it evolves to Shelgon too.

"Yes, we do have it. Since you humans have claimed the place. You can naturally get it.", replied Salamence.

Axel then turned to Lance with expectant eyes. Lance was the owner of that paper and if he had to get those resources, he would have to ask Lance. Now, receiving some of them would not be a problem, but Axel needed them in huge quantities.

"I will have to ask my father about it.", said Lance.

"Oh come on. You do realize that you can only claim this place partly because of me. Can't you give me some of it?", asked Axel.

"OK, I will give it to you. But if you want more in the future then you would have to pay for it.", said Lance.

"Of course, I have no problem with it."

After that, they started to roam around the place. The place had many things like mountains, caves, volcanoes, the sea, and even a small forest. There were also stadiums where the dragon-type Pokemons would fight and train.

Axel realized that the resources needed for Bagon were here and they were of better quality. This would surely help Bagon when it evolves into Shelgon.

Finally, after touring the place, it was now time for them to leave this place. However, it was already night, so they decided to go tomorrow.

"Salamence, can you tell me something about dragon-type Pokemons?"

"Oh, what do you want to know?"

"What is a dragon type energy? I mean we know that fire type energy would burn, water type would drench us but what would dragon type energy do? We humans have found it very mysterious."

"Hahaha, yes you humans are stupid. Since I am in a good mood, I will tell you what my ancestors have told us.

It is going to be a long story. So brace yourself."
