The Proposal

"1 Billion Poke dollars!!! Blue, that is a lot.", shouted Axel over the phone.

"No, it is not. If you want an entire team, then there would be at least 5 people that would be with you. The leader would have a tier 3 king-rank Pokemon and all of them would have to spend at least a month with you on that island."

"Blue, can't you lower it a bit?", asked Axel. Axel had just earned 1 billion Poke dollars and he didn't want to lose it.

"Sorry Axel, but I cannot. If I start to lower it, then it would come out from my pocket."

They negotiated for some time but Blue would not lower it, so Axel had to give in.

"Ok, fine. I will agree to it."

"Great, when do you want the team?"

"Just give me a day. I might be after a few days or after half a month."

"Ok, I will wait for the good news.", said Blue and hung off the phone.

Axel knew that Latias was living there in his land. Now, Latias had met him and it had been very friendly. It had met by transforming into a girl but Axel had to make sure that he was safe. That was a legendary Pokemon and if something happened there, he had no way to get out of it.

Axel did tell Blue that he wanted someone who could teleport him and save him in his time of need. Blue suggested that he had a team that could do that. So, Axel hired him. Now, he was going to wait for the mission till the end of the day and then make his decision.

He was told to stay in the hotel for now but Axel felt very bored doing it. He decided to get some fresh air. He had his Pokemons to protect, so he didn't have to worry about it.

Since he was free, he decided to call Hector for updates. However, before he could press the button of the call, Hector called himself. That was a surprise.

"Yes Hector, anything new?"

"Yes sir. We have great news. Every member of our team has a pseudo-king rank Pokemon now. We can now register our team as a mercenary.", said Hector with a happy voice.

It was really good news. However, they would have to go to the Kanto league city to do it.

"Sir, you are the leader of the mercenary. You would have to be there.", insisted Hector.

"Ok, I get it. But right now I am busy. Just give me some days."

"Don't worry sir. We have waited a long time for this, so we can wait for an extra few days."

"That is good to hear. Do you have any money problems?"

"No sir. We are good in money now. Our recent tide did help us a lot and we are doing a lot of missions from the league association so we have surplus cash."

"That is good. If you need anything, do ask me."

They talked a bit about the team and then Axel hung off the phone. After the phone call, Axel wanted to stretch his legs. Even though Red had warned him to not go outside, he decided to just roam around the place.

The whole afternoon was uneventful. Axel had been so used to having a productive day that not having one made me feel uneasy.

'Well, this is life. I must appreciate everything.', thought Axel.

Axel then started to think about Kate. She was the one that he had liked but during his time of need, she left, which made him very angry. However, Lance was also right. He had not even expressed feelings to her.

So, he thought to give her a chance. But he didn't want to be in a relationship so soon. He had too many things to accomplish. Getting in a relationship would hinder that.

Now, Axel was starting to hate this free time. If he didn't have the free time, he would not have thought about Kate and would not have felt miserable. He started to realize that this girl was taking a major part of his brain when he was idle.

'I think I should come to a conclusion on this. I cannot waste to afford more time on nonsense like this.', thought Axel.

He thought to ask Kate directly on the phone about it. It might be 'yes' or 'no' but he would have an answer. However, before doing such a thing, he thought to call Lance about it.

"Dude, are you crazy? I mean I understand that you never had a girlfriend before but you are way too ignorant in these matters."

"What do you mean?"

"Girls expect us to try harder. If you just ask these types of things on the phone then it would never work out. You will have to go there personally and ask her yourself.", said Lance.

"Yeah, I am not going to waste my time on it. Imagine if do all those things and I get rejected. How embarrassing would that be? It is better to be rejected on the phone than in person."

"Well, you have a point there but I still think that you should ask her in person.", said Lance.

"Nah, hey I am trying to go on this mission. I wonder if you want to?"

"Oh, what kind of mission?"

Axel then told Lance about Envy but it looked like Lance was a bit busy, so he said no.

Tring.. Tring… Tring.. Tring…

Katchak….

"Hello."

"Hey, Kate. How are you?"

"Oh, Axel!! I am good. How are you? How did the tide go?"

"It went well. I felt hurt that you didn't stay to help me."

"Well, I wanted to help you but unlike you, I am bound by my family and I have to follow their instructions.", replied Kate.

"Oh, I think I can forgive you if you do want a thing for me."

"What is it?"

"I want to go and have dinner with you and yes, I am asking you for a date."

There was a silence for a few seconds. However, for Axel, this felt like hours.

"Are you really asking me for a date?"

"Yes, I felt that I should have a girlfriend now and you seem to be the best candidate."

"You are not very good at this, are you?"

"No, I am not. Hurry up and reply. I am not liking the wait."

"Haha, ok. A dinner date is not going to hurt. It is a refreshing change for me too. When will you be coming to meet me?"

"I have a mission to complete. I will call when I am free. Thanks.", said Axel and cut off the phone.

The conversation was making him uncomfortable but it felt good that she agreed too. Axel had a smile on his face. Now he could concentrate on his work.

After about 5 minutes, Lance called again.

"Yeah!!! So she agreed. Good for you. What are you going to do now? Do you want me to plan the date?"

"No, I will think about it myself.", said Axel.

"Haha, at least you are taking the stand. Ok, call me when you are free.", said Kate.

For Kate, this was a normal thing. She was a very beautiful girl. So, she would get a lot of proposals from many boys. Most of them were from Zard family too. However, she always rejected them. Some of them were very good boys with great personality and good looks. But she rejected them all cause she never wanted to be with any of them. She was always concentrated on her career and all of these were distractions.

However, Axel was a different case. She knew that Axel was interested in her. She was a girl and had her instincts. She found Axel interesting. She knew that Axel was very serious in his career but today he had asked for a date. She wanted to see how this date would go.

It was around afternoon when Axel got a notification from League Association. It looked like the team had been set up. He went to the website to look around.

"Ohh, the team is good. I didn't expect that I to get a team so soon.", said Axel with a smile.

There was usually a team of 5 members. Axel was one of them and he had asked others to fill the position. The League association did a good job and sent the notification to other trainers too. Seeing that such a powerful trainer was taking this job, other trainers quickly agreed.

League association then sorted out trainers and presented those to Axel that were most experienced. Obviously, Axel was going to be the team leader. Those were one of the perks of having powerful Pokemons.

"Oh, there is a new condition.", said Axel as he was scrolling down.

This mission was given by Gatr family and the rewards of Totodile's resources were also given by Gatr family. The mission had some conditions and now a new condition was added that a member of Gatr family would be present for this mission. The name of the trainer was Gavin.

Axel looked at the info of Gavin and he had 2 tier 1 king rank Pokemons and he was around in his late 20s. That meant that Gavin was a talented trainer. Axel didn't have any problem with Gavin being a part of the team.

After looking at the Pokemons and their experience, Axel finally chose 4 trainers.

Gavin: 2 tier 1 king rank Pokemons, 4 pseudo-king rank Pokemons Lolita: 1 tier 1 king rank Pokemons, 3 pseudo-king rank Pokemons. Michael: 6 pseudo-king rank Pokemons. Zoro: 5 pseudo-king rank Pokemons.

It was very hard to find trainers that have king rank Pokemons. Axel was lucky that he found 2 of them. Axel was satisfied with the team members and he chose to agree to the mission. Axel also stated that he would need extra resources if he was going to be the leader of this team which the Gatr family agreed happily.

"When do we have to go?", asked Shedinja as it was sitting near Axel.

"Tomorrow. We will meet at Garshin city tomorrow and then the mission will start. Are you ready Marcus?", asked Axel.

"Yes, I was born ready. It had been some time. I want to stretch my body too.", said Shedinja with a smile.

Axel informed Blue that he would go to the island after this mission. Blue told him to be careful and the conversation ended.

Tring.. Tring.. Tring.. Tring..

Katchak.

"Oh, hello Frank. What are you doing right now?", asked Axel.

Axel and Frank had started to have a good relationship and now they were good friends. When Axel thought to challenge this gym, Frank suddenly told him that he wanted to spend some time with his family and that he would come back after a month. Axel had no problem with it but after spending some time at home, Frank had become bored.

"I am bored out of my mind here. Can I come to you?"

"Not right now. I am going to take a mission tomorrow. I will call you after this mission. Don't worry, I think it will be over after a couple of days."

After talking for a few minutes, Axel hung off the phone and started to book the ticket to Garshin City.

Axel then started to plan for this mission. He was the leader of this mission and it was a high-level mission. He needed to know every detail of the mission make a plan and explain the plan to the new team.

The planning went from afternoon to late a night. Axel didn't even know when he fell asleep.
