The village head's righteous and stern words managed to intimidate a few people for a moment.
But obviously, when it comes to their own interests, not many people can be so easily deceived.
Someone immediately said: "Then tell us, how are the park and the cemetery going to be used? How are the usage fees determined? How do we all divide it up? How much does each person get? And this chemical factory that's being built, isn't there any pollution? Whose responsibility is the pollution? If it causes health hazards to everyone, who's accountable? If the park and cemetery are handed over to others for use, where will the elderly and children go to play, where will the adults go to exercise? If the cemetery is handed over, what happens to the resting places of our ancestors, and where will they be resettled?"
This question clearly went straight to the core of the whole issue, and it was also what everyone was very concerned about.
