" charlie , i am going to ask you again ! where is your alpha king? where is my son? " cassandra (alex's mom also known as cassie ) said as she came closer. her hand slammed the table hard enough to show Charlie that he shouldn't be lying atleast not now. her rage was clear in her fierce eyes .

normally cassandra is known for her jolly and sweetheart nature all around the pack but right now. right now is something no one wants to witness.

" He left - he- i am sorry former queen cassandra. i can't tell you anything more than that. i have given orders to not tell anyone anything about alpha king's where abouts. " Charlie said not looking into her eyes. his palm were sweaty . he clearly couldn't disrespect cassandra but he can't go against his king's order.

the atmosphere in the room tensed with each and every word that left from Charlie's mouth. it's only been 3 days since the fight with rogue. it was supposed to be davina's funeral but her mate, the alphaking isn't here.

people from all over the world have gathered to pay their respect to their former late queen and everyone knows how important it is for alex to be here. his absence will not only let people to talk about him but his enemies from all over the world can take this chance to start a war against the alpha king thinking that he is weak since his mate is dead .

" where can he go? i don't care about the people who are standing outside but me and you we both know what his absence can led to? he should be here right now! " another voice spoke up from behind them. charlie turned around to bow the previous alpha king Peter .

unlike cassandra, Peter had worry written all over his face . one could see the fine line of wrinkles around his eyes but he still carry the merciless aura around him .

" alphaking left with nothing but just a note on his desk , that said he will be leaving for now and not to look for him. " Charlie said the exact same words he said to cassandra when she first entered and asked him about alex's whereabouts.

his words were only surrounded by a long silence. none of the members present in the room said anything as they kept looking at charlie.

" sigh. listen to me. no one - i said no one, except us and timmothy should be knowing about this. as for everyone outside - cassandra you take care of it. we will just say that alex is mourning for the loss and he is no condition to come out. he had already paid his respect for the gone " Peter said as he himself was trying to make some sense from his own words.

" Are you kidding me peter? do you think people will be believing that-"

cassandra was cut of by peter.

" i said what i wanted to say and as for if something happens in future know that i am still alive. i will be responsible for it and as for alex , we both know that Charlie , you clearly knows his whereabouts . so tell that man to take his time. i don't care about anything right now but if anything happens to any pack member because of him neglecting his duties . i will come for him myself. ".

Peter's word sounded more like threat to Charlie . he sometimes really couldn't understand why? why do they behave like that? after all they are alex's family.

he sighed as peter and Cassandra took their leave from the room.

Peter was right. Charlie exactly knew where his alpha was and what to do if someone or something attacks on the kingdom but the only thing worrying him was his alpha. will he be okay? he was regretting of letting him go alone but then again he couldn't disobey him.

back at battlefield when he sat there holding his mate lifeless body in his arm for more than a day. no one was brave enough to come close to the alphaking mourning for the loss of his mate. neither charlie stepped forward. there was this dark and empty aura which was surrounding the battlefield . no one could move for a while . it was like everything was frozen until charlie and alex saw Davina's body disappearing in air.

Alex knew something was awfully wrong but couldn't grasp what was it. he felt his bond vanishing but the pain and hurt for loosing the girl he loved was still there.

he eventually decided to leave from all this away. he left charlie in-charge of everything before he left in search for god knows what.

his only words were - " i won't let moon goddess get her way . not this time " . Charlie couldn't understand anything from it but he knew that sooner or later there will be a storm coming in this way . a storm no one had ever heard of.
