Our MC died in a random stabbing incident, along with the stabber. He ends up meeting the Death God, who grants him 2 wishes and a choice to reincarnate in a reality of his choosing.

I started this work as a procrastination project. Had this idea in my head for a while, before i saw a similar story to this one on this site. I have taken some inspiration from that novel, but most of the content is OC.
There is no harem or cheesy romance in the book yet, but i might change that in the future, i don't know.
I am a decent fan of the MCU, havent read the comics and my understanding of the MCU is shallow. The plot may defer from the original, but i'll try to keep it as close to the original.

A Slime in MCU

I was guided to the library where I was told the rules and told to read up on some basic knowledge.


There were two stacks of books as high as me placed beside a desk. After I was left alone, I absorbed the books into my hands and Great Sage made a copy of them. I spat out the books and placed them in their respective places before doing the same with a shelf of books near one of the walls.


I sat down on at desk and closed my eyes, as I went into my consciousness, where I could see a blue orb pulsating and analysing and absorbing the celestial body. It was getting the process done quite quickly now, about 25% remaining. It seems the stronger body and skill allowed for a faster absorption rate.


Great Sage complied the books collected and placed them in front of me, where I began to read them up.


I was in the mindscape for around three days but in the real world, only three hours had passed. To the outside world I was meditating, while I analysed all the information by myself without the help of Great Sage.


Thus began my new routine, I would enter semi <sleep mode> for around 8 hours to hasten the progress of the absorption, wake up, absorb the books and read up on them and practice with the Ancient One in the mystic and martial arts.


Progress was good. I internalised almost all the books in the library in about 3 months, allowing enough practical experience in the arts with the Ancient One, and I found out another cheat.


I could absorb and analyse the abilities of artifacts and replicate them, similar to those of the creatures I absorbed. One notable example being, the Sling Ring. By replicating its abilities, I was now able to open a portal with just my mind, and without actually have the sling ring on hand. The only draw back of the ability was that I could only go to the places I had been to before. And there weren't a lot of those.


This grind lasted for 4 months, before finally the assimilation of the celestial was done. I could control all of its limited powers without worrying the Ancient One. Limited I say because it was just a piece of the whole. After the assimilation, I felt powerful, just a bit above the Ancient One currently in terms of power. I still lose out to her in combat and experience.


Since the assimilation was done, most of my work at Kamar-Taj was also done, only one thing remained.
