Chapter 29: "HOPE."

It was already dark by the time they left the restaurant.

"I'm not in a mood to eat...Sunny how about come to my place I'll cook.", Aditi spoke as she bent down on her knees.

"No worries, Aunty is the best cook.", He hugged.

"Then let me call him...where is your car? Bring it, Let's go straight to my home.", Aditi spoke as she dialled a number.

Wendy wanted to say something but listened to Aditi and walked towards the parking to get her car.

The call went through in the first two rings.

"Where are you?", She spoke.

"In a meeting.", His gentle voice came through.

"Then I'll go back home with Wendy and Sunny first, Come home after you are done with your work.", Aditi spoke.

"See you at home then.", He gentle said.

"Hmm.", She replied and ended the call.

Anan wondered if something was wrong. The girl who was energetic till then felt moody.

He raised his head as he saw the Board of Directors seeing him in surprise.

They were shocked to see the man who almost broke the table a while before becoming gentle as he received a phone call. They were all thankful to that person. But they still wondered about the superficial character who made this cold and unapproachable boss this gentle.

Anan ignore their gazes and turned towards Rishi.

"Check what happened in the afternoon.", His cold voice made the room more shiver.

"Continue.", He turned towards the director who was stopped by him a while before.

Rishi understood what Anan was implying so quickly made a call to the secret security that protected Aditi.

"Sir these are reports and the project results, Thanks to Manager Aditi that we didn't have any loss and also got a raise in the shares.", Director spoke as his assistant passed the details to every board of directors.

"This girl is not bad. She can be more useful for the growth of the company.", One of the directors commented.

"Yaa...I saw her rejecting Mr.Deshmukh's offer when he asked her to be his student and said she's happy being her teacher's student, I would be proud if I am her teacher.", Another commented.

Anan tensed face loosened as his poker face showed a pleasant vibe.

"CEO if you don't mind I want her to take into my team. Now that she didn't have a proper lead...anyway she has to find someone to lead her.", Dharma spoke as everyone was equally shocked.

Dharma was 45 years man who was known for his achievements and righteousness. He's been working in this company since the start and has always been a great advisor to Elder Mishra. He was known to be cold and unapproachable. Seeing him agreeing to take her into his team which only had top executives of the company...everyone exchange few words among them.

"My team has 4 members in total...Although each one of them is known for their skills like- Design, Production, Creation and me as decision-maker, we are still lacking a planning mind and I was searching for one and this girl doesn't seem to be bad. What do you think CEO?", Dharma analysed as the people in the room envied Aditi.

It was the top team in the MEDIA SCORE. "HOPE" was the dream team to join. The legendary employees and Director Dharma were the one's part of it who wouldn't be envious of Aditi.

"Then you can have her.", Anan replied. But everyone felt his tone was a bit different from before. His tone made them think of A proud father who's happy to listen to his daughter's achievements.

"HOPE team's official invite will be sent to her tomorrow then.", Dharma spoke.

The meeting adjourned as the news of Aditi entering the HOPE entered into all the people's ears in the company. The head who was demoted to the normal manager and Preetha who just heard this news was burning from inside.

Preetha who entered her room quickly pulled out a vase beside her table and threw it to release her anger.

"Why? Why her?", she shouted as the assistant of her's walked in.

"Boss don't worry...you are forgetting something, Now that she's officially picked by HOPE there will be more people who want to see her end...Director Priya is coming back from the trip if she knew the position she's been trying to enter is now taken by someone...what do you think she will do?", A sly smile was seen on the face of her assistant.

"Yes...how did I forget that.", Preetha voiced out.

Inside Anan's Office.

"Boss joining HOPE is dangerous for Madam now. Ms.Priya might...", Rishi wanted to say but.

"Who's that?", Anan deepened voice broke his form.

"Director Priya...Cousin of Mr.Karan she joined company 4 years back, even though she joined through a connection she contributed few projects that helped her into this position. She also tried her best to join team HOPE but Director Dharma didn't even consider her. Now that a junior and also who has only a year of experience joining the team...I guess Madam will have a tough time.", Rishi spoke.

"Do you think my woman is that weak?", His voice brought sweat to Rishi's face.

"NO, I don't mean it, boss.",

"Rishi she's stronger than you think, tougher than you can imagine, and intelligent than you can expect...if she is willing she can try I'm always beside her.", He spoke in a rather calm tone as he stood up from his chair and walked towards the large window that has a beautiful view of the city.

"...but that doesn't mean I will let them hurt her, if someone wanna touch her, they will have to pass me first.", his deep voice resounded in that calm office.

"Prepare the car.", He spoke as he stared at the view from that window.

"Yes Sir.", Rishi smiled as he walked out.

He took his coat after few minutes and walked out of the room.

Rishi who just received the call maintained a frown on his face. As soon as he saw Anan walking out with few Executives he quickly walked out of the car and opened the door.

Anan entered the car after giving a few suggestions to the executives.

Inside the car.

"Boss when Madam and Ms.Wendy are at Mall...Mr.Rohit came to see madam and had an unpleasant conversation. According to the guard...", He explained the complete scene to Anan as Anan face darkened.

They reached THE VILLAS.

"You can get off the work.", Anan spoke as he walked out of the car.

He entered the main door as he could hear sunny's and Wendy's fight.

"You are stupid.", Wendy was childishly fighting with Aarav.

"Okay...but A stupid only can give birth to another stupid.", Aarav's counter back was also heard.

"You came.", Aditi who was enjoying the fight heard the door sound as she ran towards him.

"Hmm...what are you guys doing?", His raspy voice was heard as he smiled warmly at her.

"Just done with cooking...let's eat I'm hungry.", She spoke like a spoiled child.

"Let me change and come.", He chuckled at her behaviour and walked upstairs.

"Let me come with you uncle.", Sunny followed Anan upstairs.

Wendy who just saw her friend's behaviour was shocked beyond words.

"Are you sure you are fine? Being virgin for so long...did you lose your brain too?", Wendy spoke as she touched Aditi's forehead.

"What nonsense are you talking about?", Aditi who was embarrassed slapped her hand.

"Come on living with that handsome hunk and being so calm and self resistant is hard I know...We are adults so you can share your worries with me.", Wendy spoke as she extended her hand to hug Aditi.

"Did you hit your brain somewhere? And who said I'm still Virgin?", She blurted as she quickly walked into the kitchen.

"Adi...wait...I knew it...", Wendy followed.

Upstairs.

"Uncle...Can I ask you something?", Aarav spoke.

"Hmm.", Anan nodded his head as he bent on his knees.

"Can you be truthful and loyal towards my Aunt ?", His little voice made Anan smile.

"I promise, I will.", He spoke as he patted his head.

"Then let me tell you today at the mall...that bad uncle came again and irritated my aunt. If only I was 2 inches more I would have kicked him...too bad I'm still short.", Sunny spoke.

"Uncle...this isn't the first time I saw Aunt get hurt by him. He hurt her again and again since I was 2 years old...no maybe it was when I knew that she was in pain...so she must be in pain before that too...I saw her trembling up in the middle of the night because of her nightmares and she can't stay in rain for too long, she can't eat nuts...especially peanuts, Most important she loves me...If only I was a few years older I would have made her fall to me with my charms and marry her...hmm, But it's Okay I like you too...so make sure to love her and cherish her.", The little boy spoke nonstop as he started to struggle as he took a breath.

"Little one...Thank you, For being there for Adi all this while.", Anan deep voice was heard.

"I will protect her and mom with my life.", The little one smiled and said.

"Give me 2 minutes, I'll change.", He spoke as he walked into the washroom.

Later the couple, Mother and son had dinner. Wendy and Sunny left as it was late.

Aditi entered the hall and then into the study. Her man was standing near the window and he seems to be in deep thought. She smiled and quietly walked towards him. She entered in between his arms and wrapped her hands around his neck as she tip-topped.

"What is making you so distracted other than me? Hubby you've changed.", Her tease made him come to this world again.

"Wifey there is nothing in this world that could distract me unless it's you.", he whispered as he kissed her ear.

"Did the guard who followed me told you about today's incident?", Her voice was calm.

"You knew?", He spoke as he smiled warmly at her.

"Of course he's so obvious...I knew it from start.", She said.

"Why didn't you ask me?",

"Why would I do that? You are my husband and my protection is your responsibility...and I know you are worried, So why not I pretend and ignore him.", Her voice made his heart flutter again as he tightly wrapped his arms around her waist. This girl understood him the way he understood her. The more he saw her the more he wanted her.

"Adi...Sometimes I think I can't fight against the decade you've been with him. At times I feel I should have met you earlier.", His deep voice reached her ears as her smile widened.

"Anan...The month I've been with you defeated the decade I lived in misery...do you think you should worry about it?.", his arms tightened around her waist after hearing that.

"...and we still have a lifetime, do you know I didn't have any nightmares with you around. You are like a drug that I'm addicted to. It neither have an antidote nor I want it...", Her words made Anan's eyes widen. His cold lips touched hers without any warning.

The kiss deepened as they both were out of breathing.

"...The lifetime seems too small, How about the remaining 6 life's?", His raspy voice made her smile widen.

"No problem.", She smiled and agreed.

Director Dharma: One of the starting employees of MEDIA SCORE and the lead of Legendary TEAM HOPE.

Author: "Hello Ms.Preetha."

Preetha: "Are you even interested in interviewing me? Why is your greeting so cold?"

Author: "My Bad...I'm that way." [Mind voice: 'I wish I can give you 2 tight slaps but I won't because I'm a professional']

Author: "Why did you do it?"

Preetha: "I hate her. No particular reason."

Author: "Does that mean you can destroy someone?"

Preetha: "Why does she have to be the one? Why? Where am I less than her?"

Author: "I Don't even wanna compare you both, you guys are not the same level."

Preetha: "What do you mean?"

Author: "The exact meaning."

"Hello, Mr.Solo." *signaling to someone far away.*

Preetha: "I have some urgent work...We'll do this interview later", she quickly stands and run away.

Author: "Yes you do." *AN EVIL SMILE*
