Prologue

I put my H&K USP Compact 9mm handgun in my Hermes Kelly Rose Gold bag after I shoot one of my employees. They are really not worthy to be in Eagle Essence if they are that coward to answer me back. I snapped, that's why.

I told one of my employees to clean up the mess and I immediately turned around.

I got out of the secret hideout of this building and quickly goes to the elevator para makapunta na sa office ko.

While I was waiting for the elevator na makarating sa floor kung saan ang office ko, I was browsing at my phone when I noticed that my secretary by my side is also browsing at her phone. Langya, parang walang trabaho ha?

"Phoebe," I called my secretary. "Do I have any appointments for today?"

"Hmm, let me check ma'am," I glanced at her. "You have a meeting at 3pm ma'am."

I looked at my wrist watch to check the time and it is already 1:30pm.

Nakarating na kami sa floor kung nasaan ang office ko, while walking I told my secretary to give me coffee and some snacks so that I could stay awake. I'm tired of this kind of work. I wanna have time for myself sometimes.

When she gave my coffee and my snacks, she was about to go out when I called her again. "Hey, Phoebe. I forgot to ask. Sinong mga kasama ko sa meeting mamaya?"

"Board members and Engr. Cardinal po, ma'am,"

I looked at her, shocked. "Pardon? Cardinal?"

She smiled, "Yes, ma'am. Engr. Isaac Cardinal po. Is he somehow familiar to you ma'am?" she asked.

I immediately shake my head even though my heart is beating so fast. "Uh no, I thought it's someone I know. You can go now, thanks,"

She bowed at umalis na siya sa office ko.

Holy shit. Sa lahat-lahat ng pwedeng kasama naming engineer, ba't siya pa?

I would never forget those times.. those times na ginago niya ko, para makapaghiganti.

I smirked, ano kayang binabalak niya ngayon? The fuck. Ang negative ko ha. This is business, Yvanna. What the hell are you talking about? I shrugged, bahala siya sa buhay niya. Kung babalik man siya sa buhay ko para may gagawin ulit, I will never let him destroy my life again. Well, he doesn't even know that I'm still alive.

I was quite bored and medyo gutom pa, and when I looked at the time, it's already 2:23pm. Few minutes from now we will have a meeting with this engineer. Oh well, I really don't have a problem with him, so why bother?

I fixed my things and headed out of my office. My secretary noticed my presence, "San ka po pupunta ma'am?"

"Diyan lang sa starbucks sa baba, babalik ako kaagad. Contact me 10 minutes before the meeting."

"Noted, ma'am."

I nodded and lumakad na patungo sa elevator. I clicked the button then started to brows at my phone while waiting for the elevator na makarating sa floor kung saan ako patungo.

Pagbukas ng pinto ng elevator, there are a lot of employees who greeted me and I just responded with a nod. I badly wanna drink chocolate chip cream frappuccino.

Tumawid ako dahil harapan naman ng building namin ay Starbucks. Beside this Starbucks is a restaurant kung saan ako palaging kumakain.

"One chocolate chip cream and caramel frappuccino, please," I ordered. The caramel frappuccino is for my secretary.

Kahit masama ugali ko minsan ay mabait naman ako sa mga taong nakasanayan ko na, duh.

I checked the time and it's 2:47pm. Grabe ang bilis naman ng oras, Lord. Gusto niyo talaga kong makita ko yon?

When I got my order, umalis na kaagad ako sa starbucks then dumeretso sa building namin. I was about to click the button sa elevator when someone did it for me.

Di ko nalang pinansin at pumasok na sa elevator without even bothering who clicked the button para sa elevator. But the scent was somehow familiar tho. I shrugged.

I clicked the button kung saan dapat ako na floor when my phone started ringing at nung kinuha ko phone ko ay yung secretary ko na pala yung tumatawag.

"Ma'am, 2:50pm na po." Aniya.

"Yes, paakyat na."

Timing naman na natapos ang call ay nakarating nako sa floor kung nasaan ang aking office.

I handed the caramel frappuccino to my secretary and pumasok na muna sa office ko para mag-ayos ng konti. I don't wanna look like chaka sa harapan nila no.

I put some cream blush and lip tint on so I would look alive. I'm a little bit pale, that's why I have to put some colors in my face.

I was about to go out of my office when my phone rang, my bestfriend, Ashanti is calling.

I answered the call, "Yes, Shanti?"

"Hi, Yva! Wanna join club later?"

"Sure, saan ba?" I look at the time and it's 2:58pm.

"Urban lifestyle pub lang! Sa may Obrero!"

"Uh, okay. Text you later nalang. I have a meeting pa. Bye, Shanti."

"I hope you'll come! 'Wag ka munang KJ! Minsan lang to, eh."

I laughed, "Yes, I'll text you later nalang. Bye," I hanged up.

I immediately head out of my room at papasok na sana ko sa conference room when I saw someone familiar walking with my dad who is obviously heading in to the conference room as well.

I smirked while looking at that familiar man who is also looking at me, confused and shocked.
