11- Mother part 1

The sound of swords hitting against each other echoed in the training yard as everyone watched the royals fight silently, no one dared to say a word. All curious about who's going to win, knowing that prince Kenji is one of the best sword men alive, and so was his opponent, King Drayce was trained by many powerful teachers and he never lost in any kind of battle. Kenji was quite fast on her feet, and being light was one of her best advantages, she could jump high and attack her opponents in air, or tackle them down easily. The king watched Kenji, remembering the good old days when her mother was still alive, remembering how he used to train with her mother, he wished to go back in time an dell her how much he loved her. Kenji suddenly felt dizzy, her eyes going blurry, Drayce didn't notice her condition and hit her sword causing it to fly out her hand and into the grass. Staring wide eyed at her empty hands, king Drayce's smirk was the last thing Kenji saw before fainting.Everyone ran towards the prince who fainted unexpectedly, and the first one was Drayce himself. He carried the unconscious Kenji and ran towards the palace's door, following him were the king, Prince Renshu and some maids and butlers, everyone else was told to continue doing their job.Kenji was placed on prince Renshu's bed since it was the closest, the royal doctor checked her pulse through her wrist and nodded to himself.

"He will be okay your majesties, he just needs to rest a lot, his old injuries haven't fully healed yet, that's the reason of his sudden fainting"

The doctor said whilst bowing, Kenji's father glanced at Renshu and glared darkly at him.

"You can leave now doctor, Renshu, I will be waiting for you in the dungeon"

The king said tonelessly before exiting the room, Renshu fell on his knees next to Kenji's bed and held his right hand.

"I'm sorry"

He apologised, tears in his eyes, he pecked his younger sister's hand softly then followed after his father.

Th room was finally empty, just how Drayce wanted, the said boy sat on the bed next to Kenji and admired her braveness and strength.

"You seem to have gone through so much princess, your mother would've been really proud of you, I hope that you'll allow me to take care of you"
