Later in the day, they arrive in a large building, with its facade filled with some kind of black stone, beautiful and shiny. This place is the government office of the city of Elfen. It is the only way to buy land or a house.

After the gray-haired gentleman passed the configuration of the house he wanted to the attendant, a beautiful, elegant and robust woman guides them through all the houses that may interest them.

Whiger and Kalui are demanding and did not like almost any. All the properties visited are in an area very close to the three large advanced schools, which are located side by side.

Walking along the wide main street, filled with many four-story buildings and few houses, the beautiful woman with brown eyes comments:

— Sir, there are only four houses left. The one we are going to now is the one with the biggest terrain and closest to the school area, but it is the most expensive, obviously. It has a delicately sculpted front wall with hundreds of small stones, the door is solid wood and the inside is very spacious. The land is wide and long, with a front and rear yard, in addition to having two floors, five bedrooms and two bathrooms. You could also build a swimming pool, if you want. I'm sure you will like it!

Expressive and listless, Roldi replies:

— All right.

Children's eyes shine immensely.

Kahyu nudges Kalui and Whiger with his elbows. Whispering, she asks:

— How much money does Mr. Roldi have?

— Hehehe ... — Kalui comes closer to the two — Inside the big bundle that he brought, there is a chest with some three hundred gold coins.

With a fright, the two brothers respond with an exaggeratedly loud cry:

— Three hundred coins !?

Kalui is startled by both of them and covers their mouths with their hands.

Roldi looks back with his eyes in flames of fury and at the same time, the children are silent and pretend that nothing has happened.

Turning on one of the streets that leave the main, near the corner, the beautiful woman stops walking and says:

— It's this one . — She points to a house with a beautiful big white granite wall.

Kahyu is excited, just as he was excited about all the other houses.

The beautiful curly-haired woman takes a large, thick key from her pocket.

— Lets go in? — She opens the door and waits for her customers to come in. — Make yourself at home.

The green lawn — with slate stone slabs to step on — and the magnitude of the house with its walls decorated with various white natural stones, completely conquer the children. Two thick circular pillars support the balcony of the second floor corridor. On the ground floor, two large glass windows also stand out, next to the black floor inside the house. Nothing in it is made purely of rock.

Panting and bewildered, Whiger says slowly:

— This house ... Does it really exist? — He stares at his sister completely out of his mind — Kahyu is this real?

Roldi looks at the woman in the dress who is still at the front door and exclaims:

— How much is it?

The woman is startled and replies:

— Two hundred gold coins.

Roldi smiles at the children and shouts:

— That's it! Let the paperwork come!

On the first floor, a central corridor connects the huge entrance hall to the back door. Through this, it is possible to go to four rooms: Library, bathroom, kitchen and dining room. Two long stairs in the room — one on the right and one on the left — give access to the second floor; there are five rooms of equal size, a bathroom and a weapons room. All connected in the same corridor.

Dressed in an apron, Roldi prepares fried eggs on a wood stove. He starts to beat a spoon in a pot, calling the children.

After eating, Kahyu goes to the backyard, raises his arms and a wave of earth is removed from the ground, forming a rectangular hole three meters deep, six long and four wide. The removed earth is piled on the corner of the wall. The girl jumps in the hole and moves her hands and fingers, forming a small circular tunnel, of thirty centimeters, that connects the hole until the sewer of the city. Then it pulls a piece of rough rock out of the ground and painstakingly shapes it, without disengaging from the ground. The rock expands and refines, surrounding the entire rectangular hole that was once made of dirt. The other hole, circular and small, is left out of the smooth rock wrapping, being covered by the same rock separately, with reliefs and a handle.

"There, now, when you need to empty, just remove the lid."

Later that day, Roldi hires a man to fill the pool.

Hours later, with the pool full, everyone takes off their clothes and freshens up.

— Thank the great and majestic Kahyu! — Says the girl.

Kalui and Whiger are completely unaware, as they are betting the race of those who make thirty laps first.

In the middle of the game, a senior teacher knocks on the door of the new residents of Elfen. Kalui jumps out of the pool and puts on his clothes first than his friend, running at full speed to meet the lady. Whiger transforms his muscles, making them smaller and more defined, but he cannot reach Kalui.

"If I don't get to the door first than Whiger, I will die." , thinks Kalui.

The tiger boy takes the longest path through the grass outside the house. The boy from the winds, on the other hand, goes inside the house and ends up slipping on the floor, hitting his back on the floor. Even getting up fast, when he arrives at the door of the room, he watches his friend talking to the teacher at the outside gate.

— Whiger! You killed me!

Roldi and Kahyu appear behind the wind-clothed child, waving at the lady at her door.

— Good morning, Mrs. Marina! The library ends here. Says Roldi.

The tiger boy extends his arm to his teacher, helping her to walk, even if she doesn't have to. She smiles at him and everyone goes to the library.

The library is empty. Just a big table, chairs and shelves with nothing.

— Sir ... Since there is nothing here and it is very hot, why don't we study outside?

Red in shyness, scratching his head, Roldi replies:

— It's true ... We have a pool in the back yard. It will make everything cooler.

The pool that Kahyu made, gradually deepens until it reaches three meters, in addition to being connected by a small hole, with the gigantic sewage of the city. The girl can open and close the hole at any time using her power.

The three children and the teacher sit at a small table in the yard. The place is cool, as it is surrounded by big trees, as well as the front yard.

Roldi stops in front of the door and says to the children:

— Study. Study hard! Places are limited and the other children are years ahead of you. Don't take that pressure off your mind.

The three children swallow and nod.

— Let's start? — the teacher takes five thick books out of her bag and a hard ruler — First, Portuguese. I won't be able to teach you anything without knowing how to read.

The brother and sister sit on the chair, maintaining a firm posture, as does the teacher. Kalui, on the other hand, is not satisfied with his curiosity and puts his hands on one of the books, but is instantly interrupted by the gray-eyed teacher. She slaps the boy's hand with her hard wooden ruler.

— I didn't say I could get the book. Adjust your posture! You need to have manners, before you have the knowledge.
