Empathy
Using empathy, the archon could communicate with any being, in a way to make himself understood despite not knowing any word of the language and with his aura manifested understanding and grace.
These celestial beings have the capacity to protect themselves and those close to them or to take excessive revenge according to the aura of who received them at birth. For Ray today was his lucky day, the baby had amplified his aura in a tone of infinite joy and seemed to emit the message of "Thank you, I love you very much."
Ray was emotionless on his face as he couldn't classify that feeling in his head. Feelings were practically denied him in his entire life and the few times he experienced it was only to receive a knife in the back. As a result he became a cold and distrustful man.
The messages that he was constantly receiving from the little boy dislodged him.
-Auwww ... little boy seriously you will become annoying if you continue to assimilate me- sighing he strokes the baby head as the boy rubbed his arm affectionately and covered it with drool.
The baby's gaze cried out for cuddles and hugs. Ray had no choice, he could not treat the little boy like a pet because if they found out about the mistreatment of the little boy later on, something atrocious that would happen to his existence. To do this, he had to behave with the little one at most as a teacher and ultimately as a father.
-It's better that you eat something if you want to grow big and strong; take the cookies, there is also milk or if you want I will prepare something else-
On the plate there were cookies of various flavors mixed together and the little boy neither dull nor lazy took with his tentacles all the hazelnut cookies and left the rest, that made Ray laugh out loud and pamper the little one with enthusiasm.
-Hahahaha .. no wonder you love them so that you were born I used the same ones that fascinated that bitch, by the way she must already be in her decomposition zenith ...- he said euphoric and raised the child in the air -When you finish we are going to give a tour of our house and I am going to teach you everything you need to know, also you must be obedient when you go outside -
With an almost devilish smile he looks at the child he is holding up and begins to turn happily in circles. The little boy ended up being his first pupil, someone necessary to carry out his plan of destruction on a large scale. But when he was more animated, a cookie full of drool falls on his face and the boy laughs loudly at him.
****
At that moment at the other end, in the central area of the palace, in an adjacent building, Assistant in Chief Emily, a couple of maids and several guards go to check on Chief Ashley's current status.
Emily Bluer's dirtiest wish was to see her cousin Ashley dead.
Since Ashley entered as Sophia's personal maid, she had promised that she would help her rise in the position, but she only managed to be a shadow ending up as the housekeeper of the duchy, she was nobody since Sophia as a tyrant dominated the duchy and its right hand was his cousin who had obtained the title of viscountess. When Sophia got married, Ashley gave her the position of deputy chief at the castle. It was always the second course on the table, she wanted more than that.
He studied each filthy movement made by the queen and her maid, kept a record of the behavior and dealings with which Ashley handled herself, to supplant her one day to the point that many confuse them because of the similarity between them, both in dress and appearance. Emily wanted to be Ashley, the living copy of the faithful dog, but could not because her cousin watched her and would kill her in the worst way and without leaving a trace in conjunction with the queen. What Emily didn't know is that her time to shine would soon come.
When she saw the finished, deplorable and cadaverous appearance of her cousin a wild emotion welled up in her, the moment had come soon Ashley would die. Emily was excited just to think that this fact was just around the corner. She practiced taboo witchcraft and had dolls made with her cousin's personal belongings into which she would stick needles and pins, put them in the fireplace to burn, or buried them in the cemetery. She thought that her efforts were worth it and the dark god heard her prayer and that perhaps the cake that she prepared as bait and that contained a concoction made with blood among other garbage in the gala ended up leaving her cousin in that state.
Yesterday was the last time he saw Ashley standing up. She had gone to the dorm area very early in the morning to yell at Emily and demand the change in schedule leaving her in shame as she woke up all the sleepy maids. Today she was sure that at least if she was not dead she would be in a comatose state.
But....
There was something strange that morning. A putrid smell spread through the middle of the castle. The stench was worse on Chief Ashley's side of the room. The maids and guards vomited as they advanced, barely walking due to nausea. The area was unbreathable. There was a knock on the door and there was no answer. They then prepared to enter the room, but the door was locked from the inside.
The guards had to barely break through the door to enter. Upon opening it, the most unbearable, disgusting and pestilential scene was shown in luxury. Some maids and guards collapsed on the ground not because of the scene itself but rather because of the smelly smell and those who did not fall were continually vomiting while crying. Emily remained lucid as long as she could so she could scream for help and then end up passing out.
It was impossible to manage inside the castle after that. People fled the place and to top it off the smell had reached beyond the walls, people had to lock themselves up to prevent it from penetrating their noses.
It became a scandal in less than half a day. Chief Ashley had died in a way never seen before. Her black entrails had exploded decorating the walls with a color and aroma that knocked out those present. No one wanted to take over the cleaning and removal of the corpse from that room.
The unfortunate discovery increased Sophia's anger, who not only lost her right hand but also took away the power to move as she wanted from here to there, who knows for how long.
