You have friends?!

"Ha ha ha..."

The room was cool at first, but now it had become as hot as a sauna. Gabby stood tall and clenched her fists tightly. Her gazes were sharp, looking at her match seriously.

During the practice, Grandpa Hendrik, who initially looked old and weak, immediately turned into a man with sharp eyes. His movements were very fast and clean, especially his legs and arms that looked very strong.

Gabby straightened her hair ties and watched Grandpa Hendrik move. She looked very serious, her face was already covered in sweat.

"Stand straight!"

"Lift your feet! Yes! Like that!"

"Take a breath first and then exhale it away."

"Ha..."

Gabby grabbed onto Hendrik's hips and dropped him hard on the mat. Actually, Gabby was afraid something would happen to the old man but he had already convinced Gabby that he would be fine.

"Great, once again!"

Not far from where Gabby practiced, Michael was still sitting quietly, maybe a few times he closed his eyes when he saw someone getting slammed hard on the mat. A few moments later, he took out his cellphone from his pocket and then played a game.

"Michael! I'm done here. Let's find something to eat!" Gabby trotted over to where Michael sat and stretched her legs.

Because they were quite close together when they sat down, Michael realized that Gabby's face was a little red, her big brown eyes were looking at him, and her lips were a little red from gasping.

Michael took the gloves he'd taken with him earlier and put them in the back pocket of his jeans, wiping the sweat off Gabby's face, "Oh thank you." Gabby said as her eyes widened in surprise and then tried to take her eyes off Michael's face.

Realizing that his face must be red, Michael pushed his handkerchief into Gabby's hand then hurried out of the room, "I'll be waiting outside, Okay?" He patted his ass and walked out. Michael could hear the laughter escaping Gabby's lips.

-

"So, where are we going to eat?" It was the first thing Gabby said when she walked out of karate lessons. Don't blame her, since she'd finished practicing earlier, her little stomach had been groaning for food.

"How about we eat at a moondust cafe?" Michael suggested. The cafe was owned by his childhood friend, Sandra. Indeed, the woman's cooking had been proven delicious.

"Café? I don't want to, I'm hungry." Gabby refused while pursing her lips, "I want to eat at the depot, Mrs. Rahma!"

"After all, the price of food there must be expensive." Gabby continued.

Michael sighed, unwilling to fight further with Gabby. But this time he really wanted to eat the sandwich made by his childhood friend. Even though the name was a cafe, it also provided various full-course meals such as rice or noodles.

"No, listen to me. The cafe belongs to my childhood friend and it still has meals like rice and noodles. The dishes taste really good there!" Michael persuaded, "After all, she will definitely give me a discount."

"Friend?! Since when did you have friends besides me?" Gabby raised both eyebrows and closed her mouth, as if she couldn't believe that Michael had any friends, "You're sure it's not your imaginary friend, right?"

Michael stopped his steps as soon as he heard this. The young man then turned and grabbed Gabby's shoulder with all his strength, "Look, even though my friends can be counted on the fingers doesn't mean I don't have friends."

Michael thought that maybe Gabby would be in pain and finally stopped mocking him. But that seemed completely impossible, seeing the look on Gabby's face which was adorned with a big smile.

"Very well young master, let's eat at your friend's cafe." She said casually.

-

"Wow ... The food is crazy delicious." Gabby said, moving her head to the right and left, her right hand tightly gripping the spoon.

"Told you so." Michael replied softly, his right hand resting on his chin and his black eyes watching Gabby eat voraciously.

This was the first time Michael saw the woman eating so fast as if she hadn't eaten for months. Her round cheeks seemed to fluff up from being completely filled with food, making her look even more adorable.

"Try this." Gabby said, shoving the spoon into Michael's mouth, "It tastes so good."

The sweet and savory taste filled Michael's taste buds which made him close his eyes and enjoy the food that Gabby panned, "Hmm. Yeah, this is really good."

Gabby laughed happily. Michael wished he could always hear that soothing laughter from the woman sitting across him.

On the way home, Gabby demonstrated what she had learned from coach Hendrik again. Her little hands made a movement as if she was about to break Michael's hand.

"So ..." Gabby pulled Michael's hand backwards which made his hand look like it was twisted, "...Do it like this."

"Ouch!" Michael tried to pull his hand back, but Gabby's strength was greater than his, "It hurts!"

"Hahaha" Seeing Michael struggling in pain made Gabby feel sorry for him and finally let go of his hand. The young man immediately stroked his arm that was about to fall off his joint.

After Michael made sure nothing was wrong with his arm, they continued walking home. Michael's eyes often glanced at Gabby who was humming a song that he did not recognize, not because he was out of date, it's just that he usually listened to classical songs.

"I still don't think that you have friends besides me." Gabby teased, nudging Michael's arm with hers.

"It's hard to believe." Those black eyes looked towards the front, "Well, not that much though. But not bad."

"I don't have many friends." Gabby replied softly, her leg kicking the small stones in front of her.

As silence enveloped them, none of them continued talking and were too busy with their own thoughts.

Suddenly, a dog ran towards Michael. Her fur was bronze, her feet were small, maybe only five inches, then stopped and hugged Michael's left leg.

The man frowned and tried to release the pup's hug, but it only showed its tongue and barked softly.

"Oh Nara, how come you are here?" There was Gabby's voice from beside him, then she crouched down and stroked the dog's small body. After she heard no reply, Gabby stood back up and muttered, "Maybe you forgot to close the fence."

"By the way please let go." Michael whispered timidly, he was not afraid of dogs. It's just that when Michael was a child, he was chased by a small dog when he lived in America once. Since then, he had tried to stay away whenever a dog was nearby.

"Hahahaha" Gabby couldn't help but laugh looking at his attitude.

"W-what's so funny?!" Michael asked anxiously as he tried to let go of the dog that was hugging his leg.

"Scary Michael." Said Gabby with a big smile showing her neatly arranged teeth.

Michael's face turned red then he looked at the dog and said, "Get away before I kick you!" But Nara ignored him and let out a small whimper. Even though Michael thought he looked scary, it didn't seem to work against the pup.

When Gabby thought she had enough, she knelt down and grabbed Nara from Michael's feet, "Come here Nara." She ordered softly as she opened her hand.

Seeing Gabby's hand, the dog immediately ran towards her while wiggling its little tail excitedly. The woman then stood up carrying Nara in her left hand.

Seeing Gabby's hands were full, Michael asked, "Shall I bring your bag?"

Gabby shook her head and said, "No need." She continued to walk ahead of Michael, remembering that the contents of the bag had made Gabby's cheeks flush.

Gabby's head was filled with questions like, 'Is this a good time to give that thing to Michael? Is this too fast?' Etc. She thought long enough that she didn't realize they'd arrived in front of her house.

"Get in there, I'll go first." Michael scratched the back of his head behind her and walked backwards, still looking at Gabby.

"Wait!" Gabby exclaimed suddenly, she opened her bag then reached inside and took out a black plastic bag.

Seeing Gabby take out a black plastic bag made Michael curious and walked over to her. Gabby quickly shoved the plastic towards Michael without seeing his face.

"Here are the gloves I knitted myself." Gabby said shyly, putting a strand of hair behind her ear.

Michael's eyes widened in shock, looking at the plastic in his hand and then at Gabby and then at the plastic again. His mouth was opened as if he wanted to speak but no sound came out. Michael finally closed his mouth slowly.

"Oh, thanks." Michael replied after a long pause. He took out the contents of the plastic bag and saw a pair of black gloves that were so neatly knitted, "I will definitely wear them."

Gabby smiled then nodded her head and turned to leave Michael alone. After a few steps she turned around and waved little Nara's hand, "See you tomorrow."

When Adam opened the fence for Michael and saw his red cheeks and a big smile on his face, Adam asked politely, "Young master, did something happen?"

"Ah, nothing." Michael replied as he stepped into the house.
