"Why don't you defend me?" Gabby muttered.

"Ah, I'm talking like that because I care about you," Michael replied, looking uneasy.

When Michael saw Gabby's face turning red, he took the initiative to sit closer. The boy raised his hand and wanted to stroke Gabby's head. But before he had time to do that, he felt Gabby slap his hand.

"Don't touch me!" Gabby snapped, the girl then stood up from the sofa. "That's what you think, not what I'm feeling right now! Whatever your status now, be it my friend or more than that, you should have defended me!"

After saying that, Michael saw Gabby turn around. The girl ran and climbed the stairs of her house, leaving Michael alone in the living room.

"Gabby..." Michael muttered.

Not long after that, Michael heard the bedroom door slamming. The boy couldn't help but sigh.
