CHAPTER XVIII

I was terrified, really terrified.

At this point in the film, I looked really fucked up if I lost my moon.

I changed to walking on my two legs and took the change of clothes that my father always made me keep behind one of the trees in our territory, in case I didn't come home on my two legs but on my four.

I tried to delay the conversation as long as possible but it was imminent, even going down to the library to get the books, the first one and Ienego's.

On the sofa in my living room, sitting in a corner in silence was Sarah. I approached her, sitting on the same sofa but keeping a space that I knew she needed.

"Sarah," I said tentatively.

"Explain everything to me, Matt, tell me what I saw I didn't imagine, tell me I'm not crazy," she asked in a whisper.
