CHAPTER XXV

The sun had just cleared the horizon when the alarm on my phone rang. I had to leave now to make it look like I was coming from home.

Sarah was lying completely on top of me, from wolf to mattress and for the record, I'm not complaining.

I gently moved under her body leaving her to rest on the soft surface. I was sitting on the edge of the bed putting on my slippers when some arms were wrapped around my waist from behind.

"Where are you going?" she asked in a hoarse voice.

"Home. I can't show up in the same clothes as yesterday honey" I answered.

"I'll lend you Ryder's clothes but you're not leaving," she said resolutely.

"And I thank you, love, but I need my backpack, my wallet…"

"Okay," she agreed, "Go, but don't go too long."

"You won't even notice that I'm gone."

"I doubt that. You haven't left me and I miss you already" she responded by standing behind my back, placing his head on my shoulder.
