I DON’T THINK WE’RE IN KANSAS ANYMORE
After a long night of creating dead bodies Xavier and the gang were tired more mentally than physically but tired nonetheless and everything had returned to normal again and just like that a year went by and Xavier was walking home with a new friend they had gotten pretty close as for how that happened the boy kinda forced it just kept trying till the genius gave up so now he's taking him home (Do with that sentence as you like )
" So you're telling me I can finally see your house ? How are your folks though are they like really strict ?"Xavier rolled his eyes swallowing the sandwich he was given and answered
" No Max I live alone "

" With sol" he repeated the words with a drawn out sigh while his friend laughed the two got along pretty well despite being complete opposites .
Having gotten to the house lets say he was a little more than surprised "You live in a mansion?" he looked around with his mouth agape in amazement .
" Well you're easily impressed wait till you see the lab" Xavier had a smug expression on his face while his friends eyes seemed to be filled with stars, Xavier tapped on a wall and a panel and door opened up "Ready for an adventure?" he gestured with his hands after typing in the code causing the door to open .
" I like this " max smiled at his friend and they both went down
In the lower parts of the lab Sol had a welding mask on and seemed rather busy until she heard a ding .
" Hey Sol what's up "She smiled stopping what she was doing to look at the two
"Hello Max you here for the testing?" .
" Testing ? " He asked puzzled by the question.
" He didn't tell you ? For your birthday he's inviting you to test some stuff with him "Sol explained causing Max to look behind to face a very embarrassed Xavier who simply coughed a bit before walking forward .
"How's the portal coming along?"
" Pretty okay, say you seem pretty interested for someone who was angry at me for still running experiments when we had retried and also don't you find it funny that we know how to teleport and have bases on other planets cause of it but never thought of dimensional travel till now?".
"Not really at the time we were more concerned with creating chaos and surviving it than we were with this kind of leisurely research "
" Are you calling the discovery of multiversal transfer leisurely?" Max butted in.
" Were you not paying attention to the part where I said that I have an unlimited energy source ? Anyhow lets start the testing shall we?"
" Sure thing boss let me just finish up the patch for the engine and we're good to go"

The test didn't seem to go as planned .
