In Lucy's POV
Natsu Dragoneel notices that Lucy Heartfilia has been becoming more distant than usual after the last Job. A job that made them have to act as though they were married. Natsu is left wondering 'What did he do wrong'

Lucy notices, after the most recent job, that she love Natsu but she does think he loves her back. She starts taking jobs on her own and becomes a one person team in a matter of days. She avoids Natsu like he is the plague. 

Erza Scarlet also notices this behavior and she tries to talk to Lucy but Lucy won't give in. She is forced to make Gray, Natsu, Happy, Carla, and Wendy to go after Lucy with her, when she decides to go and a very dangerous job alone.

Gray Fullbuster, the fourth member of the original team, also takes up notice when Erza demand that they  follow Lucy before she gets herself killed.

What they team doesn't know is that Lucy know they are following and is intent on losing them.

Will they save Lucy or will she die?

If Only You Knew (Nalu)

I couldn't help myself, when we got home. I cried so hard. I finally see that I love him and we have to do that kinda job. He was my fake husband. I wish it was real. I haven't been to the Guild in a few days I should probably go in a grab a job. I have to pay rent so and believe me having to work on these things isn't easy. I guess I just have to do it. Maybe I can get away with going by myself.


I get out of my bed for the first time in a day. I haven't eaten anything either. I get my usual strapless pink shirt and cream colored short skirt. Grab a bit to eat and head to the guild. I see Marijane.


"Hey Lucy, you okay? Haven't seen you around lately." She asks.


"Yeah, I am fine. Just coming in for a job." I say back. I see Natsu look up at the mention of my name and the fact that I am looking for a job.


"So you and Natsu are already going on another job?" She asks.


"No, just me. I didn't get enough to pay my rent this month and I am going to let Natsu rest. He really worked hard last time." I tell her.


"You sure. I mean you have always had someone with you." I know she meant well but I couldn't help but snap.


"What, do you think I can't do this on my own? Is that is, Marijane?" I scream and the whole guild looks at me, "Well guess what! I am not helpless. I can do things just as good as the rest of you!"


I grab a job of the the board and go to leave. Natsu stops me.


"What is wrong with you? We haven't seen you in days and now you are going on a job by yourself. This isn't like you." He looks at me, but all he gets back is fury.


"Get out of my way. I am tired of feel useless. I am going to do this." I push him and he doesn't budge. That only angers me more. I put all my strength into my next move, a kick to the downstairs area. He drops to the floor and I walk out. I stop and listen.


"Natsu, are you okay?" My guess is Erza.


"Why .. would .. she .. do .. that?" He asks wheezing.


"Marijane, do you happen to know which job she got?" Erza asks.


"Yeah, she got the one in the forest. The one that no one has yet to come back alive from." Marijane tells her.


"What? Gray, Happy, Carla, Wendy. We have a job." She must have looked at Natsu, because she paused, "You to Natsu. We are going after her. How could she be so reckless?"


Big mistake. Now I know you're going to follow me. I can make sure that you can't go after me. I call out, "Open Gate of the Scorpion, Scorpio."


Scorpio comes out as Erza and the others do. I point at them, "Take care of them."


"As you wish." He answers. He attacks leaving me with time to run and get away. I stop in a shop at the end of town and get something to cover my scent. Then I head across town again. I know I have lost them, at least for now.


Chapter 1
