Chapter 7: Natsu Dragneel

Three long years have gone by since I came back and Lucy went to training. Gramps stayed in touch as he said he would. He is always telling the guild, "Lucy is alright. She is coming back after she trains some more."

Everyone has been eager to hear something about her returning, but she has yet to tell us when she will return. No one except Gramps even knows where she is, and believe me that isn't from a lack of trying. The first squad to search all of Fiore was Erza, Happy, Gray, and I. We obviously came back empty. Then Levy, Gajeel, and Lily went and they can back with no leads at all. Wendy, Carla, and a few from Lamia Scale went next. They also came back empty. Three years and no sign of Lucy. No where in Fiore has gone unchecked over seventeen times. Now after a long awaited worry, Gramps stands in front of us with another letter in hand.

"In the letter I received from Lucy, another one was made for all of you," Gramps looks across the room. Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, Sabertooth, and Mermaid Heel are all here as well. They have all searched far and wide with us. Gramps opens the letter and a projection of Lucy lights up in front of us.

"Hello dear friends, I am grateful to hear that you all have been worried about me. Though I am happy to tell you I will be returning soon. I am also saddened because I must leave the friends I have made at camp. A few promises to visit me in Fiore though. You might have figured out by now that I am not in Fiore for my training but in a matter of days I should be back to everyone. I am excited to show everyone how much I have grown in these three years. I also want to tell you that I am returning as you watch this because right after I send this I am heading your way. I hope that everyone is okay and I will see you soon," and with that Lucy's projection faded and everyone in the guild sank to their knees. Levy is the first one to shed her tears, but everyone shortly followed her in her happiness.

Lucy is coming back. We spent three years look for her in a place was even close to, but it does not matter. Lucy is going to be here in a matter of days, maybe even hours. Sabertooth, Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus, and Mermaid Heel all promise to stay with us, so they can see Lucy as she gets back. Everyone is left with such happiness. Lucy, why would you do this to all of us? What kind of training is worth making all of us suffer. I guess I get it know though. How all you must have felt when I left on my training's.
