Chapter 2: Moving In!

Natalie walks into the bakery. Adrien and the bodyguard walk in behind her and soon after Alya and Nino.

"This is my stuff," I say pointing to a pile on the floor next to the door.

"This is all of it?" Nathalie asks a little confused.

"Believe me, all of this is heavier than it looks. She knows exactly how to pack her stuff so it looks like it isn't much. You would believe how much stuff is actually stuffed in these boxes," Alya says.

"Oh okay. Let's get these to the car," Nathalie says while going to pick up a box. The weight of the box throws her off balance and I catch my box. I know exactly what is in each of the boxes. I easily pick up the box.

"I've got this. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself. Plus some of these boxes have fragile things. I can do it," I say with Nathalie, Adrien, and the bodyguard staring at me like I am an alien. Quicker than any of them thought I could do it, I had all the boxes in the trunk of the car and had them arranged so that only one box has to go up front with me.

"Marinette, just be careful," Papa says.

"I will Papa," I says giving Papa and Maman a hug. Alya, Nino, and Adrien agree to walk to his house and let me have the back seat of the car. At the mansion, I carry every inside where Gabriel Agreste is waiting. Adrien, Alya, and Nino walk in after I finish.

"Nathalie, she is going to need a bigger room than I anticipated. Get the one next to Adrien's prepared," With that he retreats to his office.

"Okay, do you want to bring them up now and then take a tour in a minute while we get it ready or swap it," She turns to me.

"What is the best for you?" I ask. Her eyebrow shoots up in shock. "I think it would probably be best if I wait to take it up then."

"As you wish, Marinette," She says as she disappears but not before she tells Adrien to give me a tour. Soon, we are in the room. I am putting all my things in a place that is efficient. Alya, Nino, and Adrien are just goofing around and being distracting. I can't help but laugh. The room is huge. One wall is almost all windows. There is a decent TV and lots of space to put anything that need to be organized. The closet is walk in and could fit what my closet fits twenty times over. Don't even get me started on the bathroom. I have never seen such beautiful fabrics used in an area of living before.

"Marinette," Nino pipes up," you going to be okay not being at home?"

"I think so. It isn't far and I am going after my dream. I should be fine," I am glad that they are worried but I made this choice.

"Make sure to call if you need any help, girl," Alya says giving me a hug.

"I will."

Alya and Nino both leave, leaving Adrien to help me unpack. Thankfully he actually listens to where I tell him to put things. Soon, I am unpacked and being lead down to the dining hall.

Mr. Agreste is sitting at the table, "I just wanted to make sure that your move went okay. I usually am busy so I will not be eating with you."

"Okay," I pause, "Also thank you sir."

"Not a problem," He answers as the food gets brought out to us. Silence hits the room faster than a cup falling onto the floor. After eating, I thank them for the meal and go up to my room.

I pick up my pencil and start to design. It is a shirt. The sleeves are long and open wide at the bottom. It has a V-neck. The body is just designed to be a bit bigger around who ever wears it. Plus it can come in any color. I grab my fabrics and begin to sew it together. I know I won't be able to sleep much tonight.

A knock sounds at the room door, "Marinette, you still up?"

"Yes," I open the door to find Adrien standing outside in pajamas.

"I wanted to talk," He says and I feel my face flush.

"Sure, um, come in," He walks in and I go back to the shirt. "What is it you want to talk about?"

"I wanted to talk about how you are doing. Are you really okay?"

"I told you and everyone else that I am fine. I am just going to be an intern to your father. Nothing to much to worry about. I know that I just moved away from my parents for the first time, and I completely understand why you are worried about me but you shouldn't."

"If you say so," He pauses and I can feel my heart pounding rapidly. "What are you doing?"

"I am sewing together a shirt that I designed a moment ago," I smile.

"Do you want me to leave?"

"Only if you want to. I don't really get distracted from my fashion designing easily."

"Oh, okay," He smiles and sits down next to me. If he is going to stay though. I might just end up not finishing my project. Am I stupid? I should have just asked him to leave kindly.
