Chapter 10: Final Fittings!

After a seemingly long day at school, I walk to the family bakery to see my parents. The door opens with a jingle. Maman looks up and smiles. She gains Papa's attention.

"Hello, Marinette. How is your projects?" Papa asks.

"Hey Papa, Maman. I am almost finished. Sorry I haven't visited sooner," I answer.

"Don't worry about it, we just hope you are okay and well," Maman state. We all sit down and share a few laughs. We also eat a few treats, but soon I leave the bakery with a bag of goodies in hand for the final fittings. I hurry to the Agreste Mansion. I grab my room key out. I see everyone in the big main corridor. I smile and wave them to follow. I unlock my door and all the outfits are on manikins. I point them all towards theirs. I ask Alya to help me with my final fittings. When I have done my own, I had taught her to sew so she could help me. Up first is Alya. Her waist was a little loose and I tightened it to her preference.

I see Felix and Lila both have shown up today as well. Felix's mother probably made him, since I whispered unnoticed to Nathalie to tell both Gabriel and Amelie about the designs.

Most of the girls mentions the waist because most of them are made to fit their bodies. Though Chloe says hers is perfect. Half of the boys mentions a tight collar. All the problems really easy and quick to fix. Amelie and Gabriel both eventually come up with Nathalie and I do their final fittings. At the end, everyone pretty much begs to see my dresses. I smile and take my fashion show dress and prom dress in the bathroom. I change into the fashion show dress first.

Space is the theme, so it is a dress that goes down to my knees. The design is like a galaxy and it has sleeves that go over the shoulder. The only issue is in the bottom of my dress. It tugs to tightly to my hips.

I walk out and jaws drop. I mention the issue to Alya and she gets right on it. It takes her a minute to find where the seam is. After that is is a breeze to loosen. After I tell her that it is perfect she slowly sews. I stand still for almost five whole minutes. Unlike me, she is still perfecting on speed. After that I walk back into the bathroom. I take of that dress and put on the prom dress.

It is simple; the dress itself is blue. It has an hourglass figure to it. The bottom cascades down to the floor, lightly touching the floor in fact. The sleeves loosely fit down my arms to my wrists.

I walk out and Nino lightly pushes Alya to make her remember that she must help me. I have her tighten the sleeves just a tad and I look at her. She is trying so hard to make it just as I would. I smile at her when she finishes. I tell everyone that they can take theirs home now. I head back to the bathroom and get into my regular clothes. Before I leave, I put an ear to the door.

"I knew that Marinette was talented at designing, but just how much talent does she have. I mean how could she have finished this many dresses in the time allotted," Alix questions.

"She isn't talented. This is just a beginners design," Felix tries to make it seem like nothing matters.

"I don't think you see just how talented Marinette is. You have only seen this one bunch of projects. The only thing is that she is very dedicated. This time might have been a bit rushed because this isn't her best work, not one bit," Alya pretty much yells. I walk out and silence hits the room. I place my two dresses back onto the manikins. I smile at them and say goodbye to most. Once again, Nino and Alya stay to hang. Luckily, I have time to do exactly that.

We all sit at my television set and play video games. Though after a couple hours, Nino and Alya leave. Adrien and I continue to play games. We get to laughing because no matter what Adrien has tries, he has yet to beat me. Then it happens, I don't know if he means it or not. He leans over and he kisses my cheek. My nerves flare and he beats me, but I don't care. Why would he even think of doing that? He looks over to me.

"Marinette," He asks.

"Why ... Why did you just do that?" I look to the ground.

"I just ... I," He stammers. "Sorry."

He runs out of my room. I just sit on my couch and let him go. I mean what else can I do. I can't go up and tell him how I feel. I mean, I don't think he loves me too. He loves Ladybug.
