Author's POV

Emery's eyes rolled to the back of her head as soon as Chanel dropped her arm from a death grip. She could not believe what she saw. This was all starting to make sense now. Her visions, memories and how she would be cold all the time. For the first time in her life, Emery Dekker was not composed.

"Meet me at the rendezvous. I want the three of you along with her. Do not try to backstab me or you know the consequences", Chanel Preston instructed the dumbfounded trio who had been nothing but confused with the exchange and vanished into thin air. There were 3 guys behind Emery, the said trio which were previously instructed by Chanel.

In the shadow world, 2 species never interacted together; the incubuses and the siren family which can be seen as a sole purpose why Chanel and the three brothers; Luke, Marco and Dylan did not get along. But the incubuses knew better than to go against the siren family, after all, their leader had been married to the Queen herself.

The three had no choice but to grab Emery and get the hell out of there before they could be questioned by anyone for breaking the edicts of the dead world. There were specific edicts and the first and most common was no messing in the mundane world. Luke was absolutely sure Chanel had broken the edicts and now the Ministry would have no choice but to oust her and the banishment to the Sirens was the cruelest. The Sirens were the most powerful beings in the dark world, but f they counted anything as their weakness, it was SILVER. Even saying 'silver' would have an excruciating effect on them while the incubuses absolutely loved silver. They would even have it in their diets to make themselves more powerful. Little did Luke know, Chanel was not interfering with mundane, never had been.

Dylan played with his watch and all of a sudden the Rolls Royce Phantom VIII that had caught Emery's attention at the beginning of the night revved and stopped by them.

"I know you cannot see-" Marco started but was cut off by Emery.

"The Rolls Royce Phantom VIII? I mean even a blind person can see this beauty"

The three looked at her dumbfounded. Gauging their reactions, Emery felt a boost of confidence and smirked, "Surprised I know my cars? Just because I am a girl doesn't mean I don't know any cars".

Marco composed himself and was the first to speak, "We are surprised you can see the car. Mundanes don't exactly have the sight".

"The what? Oh my God this is the most ridiculous thing I have heard all day, and trust me that Chanel girl was too hilarious for her own good" Emery chuckled.

Luke, Marco and Dylan knew this girl was not a mundane and dragged her to the vehicle before they had to be held accountable for not following orders in front of the Ministry. This was just the beginning of a new life for Emery Dekker.
