Fragrance [99]

I stared him wide eyed with confusion and shock by the way he was so dead on about it. I had infact trekked through the bushes and the trees to get to the mountain top for eclipse, but I truly had a different reason for that, the one I couldn't tell him or anyone else.

He sensed my uneasiness and retracted his hand from my face.

"Oh I'm just asking because me and my friends used to do the same back in high school." He clarified and shot his hands in front of him. He was being nice and sounded considerate enough.

"I was just taking a walk through the forest." I responded nonchalantly.

"How much time has passed since you got this?" He asked.

"I guess thirty minutes or so, I'm not sure." I tried to act ignorant because in reality, it has almost been an hour since I got hurt.

"Hmm." He hummed and scribbled something on the notepad. "The cut is deep but luckily the bleeding has stopped on its own, so you won't need stitches. " He remarked.
