Success [123]

With the imperative will to gather the magic, I hoped to feel the same rush I had felt the day I had tapped into my magic. I thought it would begin gushing through me as before like that day on mountain top. But nothing of the sort happened. The metallic sound continued ring in my ears and as the screech grew with every rotation, I was getting more anxious about the fact that I might again drift into a trance.

I momentarily bit my tongue and grit my teeth together. Pain was the key to bring me back from the thoughts which were crowding in my head and muddle up my concentration. I used pain as a strategy to avoid falling into oblivion. Whenever I would bite my tongue or grit my teeth, I would be made aware of my surroundings and the task I was assigned to do. All I had to do was to relax and think about things that empower my mind and magic. It was easier to do so if only I could keep myself from dawdling into a trance like before.
